The Chimera (with its very utilitarian look), The Hellspawn and Uziel looked pretty good. The Argus grew over me in time. I never did like the Thanatos... thought it looked goofy when it moved. (I know I'm in the minority here :) )

No but it turned the average computer user into a mindless goon ;)

You are aware you just invoked the eternal wrath of GOONswarm upon your head?

And I also have... um... mixed feelings about the way the Thanatos moved in MW4. Can understand the "goofy looking" part. Way better job done on Argus with regards to that.

Let Goonswarm come for an ex-goon. (They know I love them in a special way!)

Let us all take a moment of silence for the 3067 mechs that will exist only in our dreams...

Oh Uziel and your jump-jetting mobility PPC shenanigans... I don't know how I will win a Solaris match without you... /cry_sob_bemoanplight

Amen brother and/or sister :c

And hey, Mechwarrior 4 might've had some ugly-*** graphics, but I like their Hellhound. =)

(Had images here, but one of them wouldn't resize :c Oh well.)

Seriously though, Mechwarrior 4 generally makes me sad.

I would have been all for a 3025 setting. A lot less complicated and button mashing needed. I dont think I ever liked any of the new mechs. Just didnt have any heart or soul to them to me. As far as aestetics (sp?) go, I dont really care as long as it is immersive and good gameplay.

I did like the Uziel. The Thanatos, Argus, and Chimera, not so much (Thanatos doing well in MWLL, though) . Hellspawn wasn't a bad 'Mech, and I was rather fond of the Cougar (was that released pre-MW4?). I do still dislike the 'arcade-style' game that supposedly took place in the MechWarrior/BattleTech universe. And for the record, there is that game coming out for the iOS, being developed along with Catalyst, MekTek, etc, so... invalid argument?

Also, before any more flames start, this is definitely not the time and place for an argument over computer companies. I'm sure there's flame wars somewhere in the Off-Topic section.

Hope we'll never see any of the M$ mechs in this game.

Waddaya like Macs? All the Microsoft (and one of the MekTek mod added mechs) in MW4 are Canon now so...I thought hating Microsoft was no longer trendy now that Apple is a bigger company.

Hey, personally I thought the HellHound (MW4) is one of the best looking Medium 'mechs in all of battletech. Probably the 'mech I'll miss the most out of FAFSA produced ones.

That is a long time to wait for an Argus. What is the time ratio between real world and MWO in game time? If it is 1:1, then that means 2031, lol. Can't be 1:1 would be ridiculous. Unless they plan on "skipping" peaceful years.

The MW4 Conjurer (Hellhound) was indeed one of the best looking 'mechs around. I wish all the 'mechs in MW4 had looked that good. XD

Firstly the argus was not that good of a mech. I would rather have a uziel or catapult. and if i see one pink mech. ill murder it. then get all my unit to crush it and thirdly who said that they didnt like the thanatos. you can put one clan gauss on it with 10 clan lbx and misslles of your choice and two er laser. i would take you out from long range and short. but it did look ugly. but thats to make fear in the other mechs. Chimera never did like it. it look like it was an easy target. which it was, Hellhound was a good mech. hellspawn was a good scout mech. but thats all. nova cat, mad cat, black knight are all good mechs and this is the black knight before the the upgrade
