Once Oni posts Dan's response, I'm sure i can use my fast forward powers to time jump. I've actually got an idea cooking that involves you but I want to talk to Oni Storm about it first.

Name: Jimmy Keane
Callsign: 'Big Man'
DOB/Age: September 9th, 3018, 31
Current Vehicle: Testbed Heavy VTOL 'Thumper'.
House Affiliation: Greater Valkyrate
Military History: 8 years serving alongside the Valkyrate's various pirate divisions piloting VTOL aircraft, both combat vehicles and haulers.
Physical Description: Average height, several days stubble at any given time, brown hair with a tint of red tied in a low pony tail that hangs down his back. Wears cargo pants and hoodies over old band shirts.
Open Background: Born and raised on Last Hope, Jimmy Keane is one of the few pirates who have no other ambitions than to serve the Matriarch. Not that he lacks in ambition - Jimmy Keane is an avid VTOL fanatic and seeks to raise a regiment of VTOLs, choppers and conventional aircraft with VTOL ability, in what he calls 'A Big Wing'. A friendly and enthusiastic man, even in the woman dominated Valkyrate, he's managed to get his own way and has been put in charge of a company of scavenged VTOLs. Broken and manned by halftrained dregs, he's nevertheless convinced his 'Big Wing' is going to come into existence one day - so long as nothing happens to Mark Jones.
Deep Background: None. Jimmy wears his heart on his sleeve and has no ulterior motives. Some people say the Magistrate has allowed him to get his way purely because she's curious as to what he intends to do. The closest thing to a secret Jimmy has is that his 'plans' are usually thought up on the spot, and forgotten just as quickly as they're made.

Name: Mark Jones
Callsign: None
DOB/Age: April 20th, 3011, 38
Current Vehicle: Testbed Heavy VTOL 'Thumper'.
House Affiliation: Greater Valkyrate
Military History: Has served in the Matriarch's armies since the Valkyrate split off from the Oberon Confederation. Previously, worked purely with civilian craft, but was conscripted into service.
Physical Description: 3-4" long, greasy black hair. Pleasantly overweight and of average height, he's aged surprisingly well for a mechanic. Wears worn, comfy, heavy clothing. Wears shirts of the same bands as Jimmy Keane - some surprisingly old.
Open Background: Born and raised on Last Hope in the days of the Oberon Confederation, Mark Jones was not overly pleased with the creation of the Greater Valkyrate - mainly due to being conscripted into the new, all women on top military forces. Since being thrown together with Jimmy Keane, his spirits have picked up significantly. Seems the younger man's enthusiasm and crazy ideas have spilled over.
Deep Background: Is often heard to murmur in his cups that anyone who can bleed for a week and keep going should be taking the shots, not calling them, anyone who puts more thought into choice of shoes than their men should be shot, and other such sentiments. He wasn't raised in the 'woman revering' society of the Valkyrate - he doesn't have to like it, so he doesn't.

Don't worry, I didn't read your posts so you don't need to worry about me showing up with the Thumper to wipe you out :)
//Ihaven'treadtheRPsinceIagreedtojoinanddidacatchupanddon'trememberyoupostingbutI'llgetroundtothattonight.

EDIT: Two questions: What are the sentinels? Comstar guards, or the two mechs? I'm confused ><
@GW, noticed you said your guys trained in a corp? You from on or off planet? I didn't think the Valkyrate had any form of actual military institution, but if there is one, that'd be great. Would give me an excuse to have half decent pilots rather than garbage ones...

Hey, not all untrained pilots are garbage, you just have to have a good reason, maybe you received informal training from your parents/ other outside source, which you passed onto your men. Also practice makes perfect....

ON Further note: I realize those are Battlemechs, but really, trying to intimidate my marines with those sentinels, is not going to work, as it's not in combat, well, Derek might **** himself, but, then he'll have to clean it, and as long as they stay friendly, Derek should be fine.

Hey Oni - I'm kind of at a loss as to what to write. My tank is way behind and Thom fired his shots but the cicada is in ryan's retreat now and we don't have any PCs there so...you might have to tell us what to do/advance the story there.

Just FYI from my perspective.

I kinda felt bad shooting at the GM's character, even if it was a npc.

Waitin on Gammadin again, sorry about not noticing the mechs mate, my marines tend not to notice much until starts shooting at them, unless they need to pay attention. Mechs maybe hard to miss to the casual observer, but marines that have been around them alot, and shot at them even more, wouldn't pay much attention to them unless it started moving. Then we will break out the big guns.

You realize you essentially just said 'I'm a construction worker, I don't notice houses until I walk into them/they fall on me.'

Or 'I'm a soldier, I didn't notice the regiment of tanks in the base because I got shot at by one before.'

Or...
Well I could go on, but you get my point.
Also, loving the ComGuard response...I'm evil.

Just a side note: There are NO sentries currently anywhere on the grounds. Just the mechs that overlook the approach from behind the wall and the obvious big eye camera above the steel doors leading into the compound itself.

Not unless you you have a background in Inner Sphere history specifically Star League. I mean you could probably deduce they are mechs but if you look in the daytime you'd notice that there don't appear to be any joints and unless you you can ever get up close and personnel with them they appear to be really really well molded statues. Not saying that maybe you couldn't get close to them just noone is "usually" allowed near them and no-one not even the Precentor can get near them without an escort. They have been there in that position ever since the Precentor brought the facility back online, locally it's looked upon more as a monument to the return of the Golden Age of communication and what might one day be possible again. Course in reality they just creep most people out. :)

Ok, now that I have read some of my recent posts excluding the last one, I really sound like an @$$, sorry guys, and to clarify my post, the marines of Delta are pretending those mechs were real, to help out *REDACTED* with his fear of mechs, well, of getting stepped on by a mech. And also, I promise not to get back into that state of mind, as I honestly don't know what I was thinking at the time.

Questions, what's actually going on at the minute? Not sure what's going on with ComStar/Cicada, so don't know how to introduce myself into the RP!

Well the Cicada just went bye bye due to nefarious reasons, and the ***** houses of Ryan's Retreat are ablaze.

Meanwhile many miles away at the comstar HPG, GW and the comguards are about to "keep it real".

How to introduce yourself depends on where you planned on getting into the action. I'll let Oni break down where he wants you, or at least what your options are.
