Let's bump this up again just in case there are other old fossils out there who haven't seen it yet.

And DarkDog55, you don't necessarily need to have been on any of the old MUSEs or MUXes. Head on over to the website. Look around. See if we're your kind of people. <_<

Bumpity.

Come join us all you old timers.

New people who can be mature and are big Battletech nerds are welcome as well. Be warned, we are full of some btech lore/stat freaks so it can get a little wierd. But were a good group that have a lot of fun.

I'm 32 so i guess I meet the age requirement at least. From what I've seen of your forum M.U.X. would make a good home for me. If you'll have me.

Well, if you're interested in joining a bunch of oldtimers waving our virtual canes at those darn kids with their youthful looks, their quick reflexes and no appreciation for longwinded, pointless stories about how we did things in _our_ day then head on over to the website and fill out the recruitment form there. We're always happy for good people with a mature attitude (giant future space robots are _not_ childish, darn it!) to join us.

I'll give that website a peek

It isn't about age...not mostly, anyway. The unit is mainly a bunch of guys who used to play the text-only realtime BTech MUSEs then later MUXes together, almost 20 years ago. We're more than willing to bring in new blood, but you'll have to put up with a lot of inside jokes and references like tortilla's line of MU* commands. You'll also have to stay with your comrades when in combat, cooperate, follow instructions, and other silly things like that...things that actually win fights.

This has been a public service announcement. We now return you to your regularly scheduled insanity.

BTW, tortilla... Don't use those silly . commands! Use TF (TinyFugue)! That way, you don't have to re-enter your list of commands every time you play a different game. :D

It may not have been meant seriously, but that doesn't make it any less true. :)

Galen... we can't be offended if it's true. ^_^

We all have pretty tough skins.

I'm sure we would, just go over the website that deputydog listed: http://mux.enjin.com and just say hi.

I'm pretty sure if you played on 3065, you're old enough for us. We're just looking for mature, team players.

*BUMP!*

Come on! I did the math. We were on the MUSEs and MUXes only about 20 years ago. Most of us HAVE to still be alive! That means our comrades should be coming to MWO en masse. I remember us chatting about how much we wished we had graphics for our MU*s, back in the day. Now we have them!

Come on MUSErs and MUXers! It's us versus them.

Bumpitty bump bump!

Old age and skill will beat youth and enthusiasm every time. If not, we just hit them in the head with our canes.
