[Lt Shortcut]

I've never played the tabletop game and I played mechwarrior 4 years ago, but lost the disc. Does anyone know where I can buy a download of the game and it's expansions so I can kind of prepare for the release of mechwarrior online?

personally I would vastly prefer to play MW3 over MW4, it was a far surperior game imo.

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't that just Mechwarrior 4: Mercenaries? MW4: Mercs is a stand-alone expansion of MW4 that doesn't require MW4 to be played. So while it is "MW4" it isn't "MW4 and it's expansions". A minor detail (and free is free so no complaints from me) but I think the distinction should be made for those of us who are unaware.

Problem is...the game can't be played on a widescreen VGA....

mektek did add widescreen size for game play, Now the Menus / Mech Lab are still 800x600. But in game Combat I can run 1920x1080

but what about vengence and black knight. there good too. matter a fact i got vengence. you get video in this.

Yeah, it's just mercenaries. I don't know where to get the rest of the game.

They unlocked the Clan and IS packs, and added their own version of mechs. They were so post to have Veng and BK as well but never did them and if I am right, they wont. Reason why - Only have one guy working on MW4 Mercs coding and wants to get it out of his way to work on new stuff. Also there is going to be one last patch out which would make it MekPak 4 with full features of the "Advance Radar System" which could be good to get used of this LOSD for MWO.

I know MechStorm.net has finished a HDP (High Deff Patch) for visiual, and is working on one for sounds.

I think i saw them on amazon for like 10 bucks or something like that though i dont remember if they had teh digital down load or not

It is the retail version of MW4: Mercenaries and all of the mektek patches, so while the retail version had a couple dozen or so mechs available, you get over 100 in the free version including the official MS mech patches. The only thing you miss from Vengeance and Black Knight are the single player campaigns.
