I will most likely pilot whatever mediums are available at launch. Though I may experiment with all the weight classes eventually.

IS all the way. Root for the underdogs!!! I do not foresee myself joining the Clans, however, salvaging a Clan Mech?!! Hmmm...

Until then? Gimme a reseen Warhammer or just an Awesome... heh 'just'.
But when the Clans come around, I"m using a Masakari with jump jets.
Damn the Omni. I'd spend the time and rep\\honour\\loyalty\\c-bills\\whatever it takes to overhaul that so the thing has ECM out the yin-yang and jump jets, along with Large Pulse Lasers.

I sure hope ATMs come out in this game.

I'd kill a man in front of his own mother for an Atlas.

If the Crab will be included in the MOD, then I will pilot that exclusively. It is a Medium 'Mech, but the speed it packs makes it one of the best Scout 'Mechs available, especially when I can customise it with (M) Pulse Lasers and either a (M) Laser or (S) Laser.

But once the Clan Invasion starts of the Inner Sphere, if the Fire Moth will also be included (which somehow I think it will be) then if I am fortunate enough to salvage one, then I will be switching between the Crab and Fire Moth OmniMech.

I do not go for the Heavy or Assault Class of 'Mech. I spent 20+ years honing my skills as a Scout 'Mech pilot and prefer to pilot those over any other 'Mech Class.

Shadow Hawk or Crab, I think. Both are speedy mediums, which I like.

Shadow Cat's what I want to get into though, once I inevitably betr- I MEAN, Rasalhague forever! wooo Inner Sphere >_>

Preferably a modified WHM-6K Warhammer, stripping out the small lasers alongside the machine guns to add more heat sinks and let me use those beautiful PPCs all day long.

When the Clans begin their glorious assault, I expect to pilot a Timber Wolf, Dire Wolf, Warhawk, and possibly a Warhammer IIC if it becomes available to make use of all that time spent piloting one >.<

Dragon or Centurion, work up to an assault mech.

Clan mech would be Stormcrow all the way.

I'm not very good at multiplayer games, so whatever I take, I want to take something that isn't a fire-magnet. I'd be a fool to take a huge Atlas or iconic Catapult. I would prefer to take something light or medium with high speed and little firepower. Ideally, something like a Spider, Cicada, or Assassin would be right up my alley. Alternately, I also feel like the Whitworth or Panther would be a fun 'mech to have - while it goes against some of my criteria, I think they're small and more-or-less harmless feeling in a multiplayer game when the enemy is facing down barrages from heavy and assault 'mechs, but can still dish out enough hurt to effectively support the home team. Some 'mechs try to take on that role and fail miserably - like the low-end mediums that sport AC5s.

have to go with the scorpion... i like the quad designs and more crits to put stuff... plus in the table top game i had one that had 2 ppcs and some medium lasers with the heat to fire all the time... really liked that set up

I would love to use a Stalker. All that firepower just waiting to be unleashed!

I assume you will be able to customize the 'mechs at some point. I like the looks of alot of mechs, but not a fan of the load-outs on them.
Inner spere 'mechs I would like to use:

Light - Panther, Fireball, or Jenner
Medium - Centurion, Griffin, or Shadow Hawk
Heavy - Marauder, Warhammer, or Thunderbolt
Assault - Atlas, Victor, or Cyclops

Clan 'mechs I would like to pilot:

Light - Koshi, Uller, or Cougar
Medium: Fenris, Hellhound, or Nobori-nin
Heavy - Cauldron-born, Thor, or Mad Cat
Assault - Warhammer IIC, Masakari, or Dire Wolf

These are just some personal favorites. If I can load it out my way, the sky's the limit really.

I really have trouble understanding why so many people are in love with the Atlas. I find it to be ugly, slow, and have a terrible mix of weapons, and without Omni capabilities it has trouble bringing focus to an armament.

The Atlas was commissioned by Aleksander Kerensky during the times of the Star League, so just for that it holds awe. :)

So were a number of 'Mechs. An Atlas is fomidable, but I have no intentions of piloting one, too far out of my style.
