The important thing about the FWL is that each region , indeed each planet, brings something unique and special to the character of our people. The strength of one covers the weakness of another. It's like a bunch of people fan dancing naked. As long as we work together, we keep everything covered an moving smoothly - most of the time.

You are correct !

You missed Gibson off the List, probably just lumped us in with the Regulans again.....typical Commonwealther superior attitude if you ask me....:D Born and raised in Portent City, Gibson (I'm not some Farmer with a 'mech, I'm the 6th generation of my family to have earned spurs)

Trained at Allison, served with the Lucky 13th on Irian and with them when we took back Wassat in '57...left the 13th MM shortly after and signed up as a Merc (nothing for me left on Gibson, and Irians a dump to be honest with you),

House Marik; First and Greatest House in the Inner Sphere, thinking of signing up again for the Purple in MWO (at least until the WoBbies arrive and screw everything up)..

According to the map of this time Gibson is its own principality but its proximity to the Regulan Free States could theoretically get them "lumped in with the Regulans Again" . I have the feeling from these posts that I am the only Regulan represented here lol. I am proud to be a humble servant to this great House and a proud resident of Regulus.

"***** us do we not bleed"........Purple of course :D

Yeah, a lot of the Commonwealthers need reminded that the Selaj familes treachery has been dead for many a century, and that Regulans are just like everyone else in the League (and not some bogeymen to scare children with)....It's a pity the Parliament is often shown to be full of this prejudice (although Gibson has voted with Regulus on most issues these past few decades, due to common interests/cultural similarities).

So many hear Regulan and think "Selaj" that it's hardly surprising that Regulans are a little weary of the Leagues inability to forgive and forget. Even on Gibson we have those who see everything Regulans do as an attempt to bring Gibson into the Regulan states (despite the fact that war between our two nations ended when we both joined the League).

Regulans obey the letter of an order not always the spirit, Especially since those normally giving the orders are mariks or marik lackeys. My first loyalty is to Regulus.

The Duchy of Tamarind Abbey has taken a few lumps in the past but she has risen again and will remaine a shining star in the League for centuries to come

I gotta give a shout-out to the Duchy of Orloff. Vanra is a fun place full of proper high society people who like to duel with swords, its like a Renassaince-era European royal court set in the 31st century. The Orloff Military Academy is the closest thing Battletech has to a "Hogwarts" (if you are a Harry Potter fan at all). Akin to a boarding school at age 11, four years of conventional schooling, then military training after that. Graduate, get your ceremonial dirk and become a member of the Orloff Mafia. According to the mechwarrior roleplaying game rules, graduates even get to drive their mech of choice.
