Also, people haven't noticed this much, but....it looks like we're all talking Inner Sphere here from the factions shown elsewhere in the forum.

That sounds like the pile of Clan designs people are frothing over aren't happening easily...probably only available at the top of the heap to the best pilots who can afford incredibly expensive and rare salvage.

Phoenix Hawk and Marauder.

Of course, if we cannot go unseen, give me a nice Flashman or Crab.

Depends on the situation.

In MWLL I like Narcing with the Raven. But also like the Arrow Cat.

Battlemaster BLR-1Gb. The royal's cool beans; no ammo explosions, runs cool, has good range, a decent speed profile, and certainly rips things apart up close. Plus it's rugged good looks, of course.

Hmm, you could guess from my name. But is there anything better than a totally alien insectoid Marauder? I'm a fan of the resculpts too, so old version or new version, either way, I'm praying they are in the game.

Timberwolf, Hunchback, Highlander, Kodiak, Black Knight, Daishi, Nova Cat, Thor, Loki, Dragon...

All mechs are undeniably awesome.

The Hornet is the cheapest mech in all of Battletech.

I kind of get the idea that MW:O is really World Of Battlemechs, so presumably a player starts out with the cheapest/lightest mech available then works their way up.

I'm fine with this, and I'm a huge fan of the Hornet. It was designed for Urban Recce as well, so it would be dandy in game. Due to the urban setting of the game, plan on Urbie being in there too.

I've always wanted to drive a Wolftrap, personally. It's basically an early Bushwacker from Kurita.

I also really hope the Locust makes it into the game. Mechwarrior games feel less genuine without the 20 tonners that are so prevalent in the canon universe.

My favorite chariots of war, would have to be the Uziel, Catapult, and the Warhammer.

Out of the three which are confirmed, ALL OF 'EM!

Waiting for a Centurian to be announced though, that's the ride I feel most comfortable in. Hope the new art style does it justice.

Seriously, people!

Game's set to start in 3048-9 or so, at the start of the Clan Invasion. A LOT of the designs you're mentioning aren't going to show up for...oh, about a decade or more of game time. Have a look here:

http://www.solaris7....h&Standard=True

The stuff we're likely to see comes from TRO 2750, 3025, 3026, and 3050- with Clan designs being the top of the tip-top stuff.

Fafnir 'Mechs won't exist till around 3067, the heavy Gauss rifles it uses not till 3061. I know a lot of folks here cut their teeth on the Mechwarrior stuff from Microsoft, but this game's setting predates the MW4 stuff by some time.
