Anything industrial is a damn good choice. I also tend to throw on some deep, industrial sounding dubstep as well, that kind of weighty stuff that just suits tromping around in a 60 ton mech perfectly.

Also I downloaded the Mechwarrior 2 soundtrack (no longer have my CDs unfortunately, I used to listen to it in my CD player way back in the day though) and sometimes I give that a nostalgic playthrough while I'm busting up mechs.

I am finding that the John Carter and Angel (Live Fast, Die Never) soundtracks work well. Angel has a moody edge which is good for the quiet before battle is joined. John Carter has that big '80s movie sound for the combat.
