I think access to the forum would be granted by faction tied to the account. If someone makes an account to spy on the forum you would have to sniff them out by monitoring what missions seem to have problems and if a low rank (loyalty points) member consistantly is part of those missions. Then you boot said member from the House (or report to the moderators). It would add a nice RP element to the community and would make basic spying on tactics more effort than the average player wants to put into it.

It's not like we've got big secrets we need to keep from other players, and if we had any ideas we didn't want to share...well most of us have voice chat stuff like Vent/etc to talk about that stuff or our own private unit forums/etc. Don't need to splinter the player base more then it already is.

Forums stay open
In game faction chat (and "Classified Chat"?), map room and general war room features
Access based on LP so you don't just go faction hopping to see plans, etc.
That way everyone can have fun with RP and trash talk on the forums and we still get a viable war room type experience.

Off-site forums are the way to go if you want to have a private boy's club.

They've already decided not to include in-game voice-chat because organized players already near-universally use their own systems, so I don't see them wanting to bother with private forums when organized groups just make their own forums.
