I've built 4 rigs and upgraded countless times with orders from newegg for over 10 years. I have also RMA'd items. Have never had any issues.

I actually remember buying a mouse once during a sale. A mouse button was sticking so I emailed newegg just to complain because shipping it back would not have been worth it price-wise because it was hugely discounted on sale. So they just shipped me another one for free, without me requesting it.

According to the things I've read here I should be well taken care of even if something is defective. :D

I've been using newegg since 2002, and while I have had occasional hiccups, they have gone above and beyond to help me. Try contacting support directly. However, they are only able to offer refunds for 30 days, they will still do exchanges for up to a year in most cases. After that you can call the company that made the parts.

Explain your situation and I'm sure they will do whatever they can to help you, possibly even pre-paid shipping labels.

Sometimes, I do run into the occasional nightmare build. If nothing seems to work, you should probably make sure that the motherboard isn't grounding to the case. It is quite uncommon for a CPU to go bad. I have seen Ram problems cause many odd things, after the power supply this is my most likely culprit. Motherboards are sometimes DOA, and after I swap one for the same model and still have issues, I get a refund and use a different brand.

Sorry to hear about the trouble Bishop, Ive been buying from newegg going on nine years now (for work and play) and have always had good customer service. It's not uncommon for PC parts to be bad out of the box, regardless of where you buy them.

For example, last year I ordered 5 identical drives from newegg last year, the drives themselves have a manufacturer's 5 year warranty in addition to neweggs warranty. Three of the five were DOA and were promptly RMA'd/replaced by newegg. I just had one start giving me SMART errors earlier this week and RMA'd that one through Western Digital on the five year warranty.

It sounds like you got some bad parts combined with Windows hassles and it just compounded things. Also, I try and keep things real simple when dealing with customer service, regardless of where its at. i.e. "I just received this hard drive and its bad, I'll hold while you get my RMA number" etc.

You're obviously full of **** and lying.

The problems you have with your system are your fault, not neweggs. They only send you the retail product from multiple manufacturers, they don't make the products themselves.

if you're so incapable of assembling a system yourself, admit it, and buy a pre-made system from a major assembler. Don't blame someone else for something they have nothing to do with.

Newegg.com is mostly for people who know what they are doing and can build their own computers, not you.

Your thread has been reported.
