LOL yeah sit in a lake waist deep.... when I roll damage I now have twice the chance to roll a head shot, sure you can dish out damage but you also make yourself dead because of the area's that can be hit have been reduced by half, heck run into something with 6 ER Mediums and there is 100% chance a head shot will occur and remove ALL the Cockpit Armor. IDK if you know the rules for a submerged mech but you roll a 1d6 not 2d6 for hit location, any mech above level 1 ignores the partial coverage of the water but you are still vulnerable to Punch Table for damage. Daishi up mate.... I'll take my 40 Ton Zippo with 20 Small Lasers and promise that I would crack your cockpit into so many peices not to mention the club coming down after the 20 Small Lasers pepper your Punch Table locations(not to mention your sitting in water so no movement modifers either... sitting duck comes to mind).

Your rules set is out of date sir.
The current rules regarding partial cover give a +1 modifier and rolls on the standard hit location table, with damage that would be allocated to the legs ignored.
Also, water always blocks line of sight. You cannot target anything that is submerged unless you are also submerged.
You can still kick him and use the punch table though.

If you parked the two next to one another and asked me to choose one I'd go with the Dire Wolf.

If i had to choose, deff picking a Atlas, nothing like a atlas stomping the battle field scaring the hell out of light, medium and heavy mech pilots.Daishi is better if your defending in my opinion....im more of an offencive type of guy lol.

Bloody..... All you Innersphere freebirths and your failure to learn the real names. Daishi... NO. say it with me: DIRE WOLF.

and dude, shut up. both are the proper name based on which side you are on IS or the Clans. One more thing, since you picked house Kurita take it up with the DCM for picking the name Daishi. :)

How about I end this grudge prematurely by bringing a Fafnir? You can both settle down, or eat HGR. Rejarial, apologize to guardian for calling him a surat (and everyone else while you're at it). Guardian, apologize to Rejarial for ******* him off.

Don't make me pull the trigger.

This is one of my favorite Battletech pics of all time. I sincerely hope if they eventually implement melee combat that I can do this. Just once and I'd be satisfied.

The Dire Wolf, in any configuration, and at any range. It really is not even a fair fight.

That said, if you used an Atlas without an XL powerplant, and played for c-bills rather than weight, you could bring 3 mechs instead of 1, if you went with the Atlas. :)

Aww, he remembered. How sweet.

<growls menacingly> I am in no mood for politics or apologies. I shall slaughter all those who challenge me.

OOC: cant pick clans, and the DCMS goes with my tastes till then.
