This has now become my Mech of choice if we can buy it on day 1 of the Open Beta. I did some background reading and discovered just how good a Mech it is, love the design too!

the Centurion has an almost perfect humanoid look, making it seem like a living being rather than a war machine.

Eh. It's like the Atlas, only skinnier.

I do think that the headfin should go and the head itself sunk further into the chest to make it look, well, headless. It'd be cool. That, or get rid of the shoulder fin. Both fins are a bit much.

Looks good to me .Not the same as the old one,but still cool.It looks too Human? what about the atlas ?A humanoid mech is supposed to look like a humanoid.I personally like the human looking mechs, but thats just me.Everyone has likes and dislikes .If you don't like it don't use it.I will go for the best mech loadout combo for my style of play no matter what the mech looks like .For me its all about killing the other mechs. And fulfilling my combat role.

This is one of my favorite Classic mechs from the inner sphere. If I only drive one of these I'll be happy.

I've always loved the CN9 but my heart tells me this art is just a little too far from the mech I first started playing oh so many years ago. I think the CCG had my favorit picture of the Centurion

nice stuff, though i'm more an assault or also commonly heavy kind of guy, myself.
but if i can strap a laser or some rockets to it, ill be happy. (Gauss rifles aren't bad either)

I love the redesign, the new mech looks much closer to an actual combat vehicle than the old version... Lesson one of armoured vehicle design is don't make the driver easy to kill. Kill the driver, kill the vehicle. The sunken head gives good protection while preserving the general look of the mech.

This is one of the best looking mechs so far in terms of concept art. The 1st time I saw the art, I wanted to try piloting one. The background information that Centurions are such well-balanced and effective machines just makes it all the more appealing.

Come on FD. The Dragon got a makeover with it's flexible arm, and I think we can all agree that it was a great addendum to the original design.

How's that song go? "One of these Mechs is not like the other one, one of these mechs is A GUNDAM"

Redesign the Centurion to fit the style of the other Mechs! Viva blocky geometrics!

Maybe I'm a TOO old school, but I really love this redesign. If you look closely, you can almost see the lines of the machine it was based on... and the skull insignia is a nice touch.

I wanna paint "UN SPACY" down the side of its cannon...

Sure has changed over the years. Doesn't look much like a Roman soldier anymore.
Makes me a bit sad; It was an old favorite.
