When I first saw it I thought Wow they managed to get the Age of War Gladiator in game!

http://www.sarna.net...diator_3075.jpg

Then I saw the name Centurion and asked Where's the fricking head and neck?

It does look pretty, but not what I thought the Centurion would look. And no I wasn't expecting a verbatim drawing of the older line art or even the improved TRO image.

You know that stating you had problems with making the product to customers is a possible way to fail, too? :)

This mech looks unbelievably good! Give's me that little something to hold me over for another day until the release of this game.

One question though; Does it have Jump Jets?

I don't think he was saying that they had problems making it at all.

He's just saying that you can't possibly please everyone with the art direction, and trying to is asures failure.

Be careful what you say or imply about Paul. It would be a shame if something unfortunate were to happen to you.

I see you looking at the thread FD, ignore the Smoke Jaguars and other haters of your Centurion. Most Bad *** ever, upgraded that 15 minute line art from the TROs to a mech that will put some fear in to a pilots heart. This is a machine to instill fear, it is a walking tank of destruction! It should make people watching from their windows cringe in fear. The old TRO Centurion, not so much. This one, one scary beast.

Amarus may be our Loremaster, but your whole "all Smoke Jaguars think the same" is clannist. :)

I said it before, and I will say it again, everyone has different taste, and that makes the world go round. This Centurion looks great, and I will be sure to spend some time in one.

To the rest of my fellow old timers...open your minds to change.

Arrr...change bad.....

The complaints are purely aesthetic. It's just not blocky or ugly enough for my tastes. I actually would like to see even more variety in styles, to give a feel of different engineering from the various manufactures through the centuries. This Centurion looks like a modern design, whilst the Hunchback looks like a decades old model. This probably isn't the best place to state this, but if we can get different skins for the various mechs to show a different years model, that would be sweet!

Hey the dev's are trying to bring our beloved game into the 21st century and hopefully beyond. Fd so far has done an awesome job with the art work.
I can still see a Centurion, it doesn't look like the old "drawings", but it's a Centurion.

This is actually a pretty good point. As hard as one person can try to make things diverse, it doesn't seem like it would get the same feel of "these things were made over many centuries and by vastly different people" that having multiple designers would. Many games have this issue, it's just the way the world works when you don't have unlimited time and money. :)

I have to put you one tick closer to being a man simply for your sense of humor. You have no idea how important the ability to laugh at yourself is in life.
