Pshaw. You can make a Tro verison of a dragon in MW4.

Ontop of that, what else am I supposed to use as refrance at this point? I know how to pilot a mech in MW4 and I know how the guns work in MW4 so its what I spoke from. No one said anything about MW:O

first post started out:

(This is pasted from Sarna, bear with me while I clean it up.)
etc etc etc

and then I ran with it. n__n cant get mad at me for trying to answer a question that really had no boundries on how to answer it.

You can make it in MW4... but WHY in gods earth would you want to?? : P

Its like the exasperation of watching a turtle cross the road. You feel compeled to pick it up and put it safely somewhere. We already have a mob of TT purist to deal with. Don't need newbies coming in thinking this is what balance discussions are all about DX

Why not MW4? I could have gone with MA if you prefer? ; p
or the book series!
n__n does it really matter?
if the Dragon is a red pill, and the centurion is the blue pill, which one jects you from the matrix?
DX< WHICH ONE!?

in the there is no real answer, just opinion. n__n when MW:O comes out any one of you dragon pilots can jump into the simulator with me and I will show you what I mean.

Thats how the OPs question should of been answered! Along with an explination that there are more to mechs in the PC versions of the game than just their TT stats.

Unforutunately, first repsonse was Garth fanning the flames by bringing up TT stats as to why the dragon is still viable o_o

LOL
True..
Know what the first thing I did with the Centurion in MW4 was? Ditch the LRM10 for more speed and armor. *shrugs* But we still love garth all the same!

Sometimes....after dinner has been eaten, the dishes done, and its time to relax...I'll visit these threads while my wife catches up on emails, news etc.

I've played BT since the late 80's TT rules, and then played the video games and enjoyed it all. I'd like to compare the BT universe to a sandwich. While there are many different types and flavors...in the end it is still just a frigging sandwich.

I read some of these comments out loud....my wife sums them up pretty nicely....she just says..."nerds". :D

In the TT game you don't even have to do that... Just go for the CN9-D variant that gives it a LB-X version of the autocannon and increases the speed to match the dragon... oh and did I mention the Artemis-IV.

All done with helms core tech available in 3049

I say replace the dragon, there are much better heavies out there than that!

I see no reason to replace it, it's an excellent design for that heavy raider/hunter/skirmisher role. It just doesn't slug it out well compared to the other heavy designs. By contrast, the Centurion is designed to overpower other medium 'mechs before they can breach its armor, but is at risk against heavier designs that can pin in down with heavy fire at long range or out-tank it in close.

Really, one of the great things about most of these old I.S. designs is that they have their own flavors, their own strengths and weaknesses, and none of them do too many things to well. It makes this kind of topic interesting, and we could have just as lively of a debate over the mertis of the Centurion vs. the Hunchback, the Hunchback vs. the Dragon, or the Dragon vs. the Catapult. :D

In that case Hunchback with AC/20. I will hide until you have to close with me.

hmm Dragon for me small cannon mean greater range and more ammo, i wont have to husband my shots as much, combined with the speed and better armor.

but i think it would be terrain dependent

It will be very interesting to see what the devs do with the maps. If most have clear lines of sight at only 500m max, it could make the game very interesting.

If someone sat these two minis down in front of me and said, "pick one for a campaign" I'd take the Dragon. The Centurion loses that right arm and it's a slower , non-jumpng Valkyrie. If the dragon loses it's right arm, it's a better armored, non-jumping Valkyrie.
