Iron, why are your panties in a wad over this? if you don't have a key and you haven't bought a Founders pack, you still aren't hurt by someone begging for a key. if you don't like the threads, don't read them. it really is that simple. the more they are ignored by people who don't want to beg for keys and people who already have keys, the faster they will go away. ranting about people making them will NOT make them stop. with any game, with a true closed beta test cycle, you will have people coming out of the woodwork, begging for keys. it is the world we live in, today. many feel entitled to whatever they want and don't believe they should have to pay for it.

and for those complaining about "having to buy their way into the beta", recall that the beta key wasn't the main reason for the Founders packs, to begin with. it was an added bonus perk, after the release of the packs. and the primary value of the packs is the items you get at the start of open beta/release, which give you at least a slight head start on the non-founders. if all you got for your $30, $60 or $120, then you'd have a point, but you get mech cash, premium, uniquely skinned mechs, extra mech bays, etc. these are the things you are paying for. so stop saying you're buying a beta product. you are buying perks that will matter after open beta begins and, if they do a reset between open beta and live release, at that point going forward.

Well I'm unemployed and can't afford buying any of the founders packages at the moment, as the money I have is used for bills and living. So aye I have posted once in one of those threads in the chance I may be lucky to get a beta key, as I would like to get back into mech gaming, but if not well I'll just wait until it becomes open!

in the end, if people don't want to read another "can i have a beta key?" thread, JUST DON'T READ IT. when new games come out and they offer closed beta testing and promise open beta testing, there will ALWAYS be people who want a key to the closed, for nothing. ALWAYS. they do not care if their asking bothers you, since their query is directed at people who might actually give them a key, if they have extra, somehow. and even if nobody has an extra and there's no way, other than something like the Founders Pack, to get one, they will still ask, beg, plead, cajole or attempt to bribe(not with money, of course), to get in. it's the world we live in and have created for ourselves, by giving everyone participation medals, not giving letter grades in school and telling everyone they are great, instead of being honest and telling them how the world really is.

so STOP READING THE THREADS, if they distress you so much. odds are, if no founders and no other beta testers respond, they'll stop posting, because the people who can help aren't. trolls only troll when they are being fed, for example, by threads like this one.

And why should people have to PAY to accsess a closed beta.. I think its discusting i have been signed up for cbt since they started taking registrations and have yet to get a key.. I am begining to wonder if they even sent any out.

I would pay for the game but I cant afford it and even tho its BETA its still better to test if your PC can even run it as beta because if it cant then when they add more stuff how well will it run then? I am worried about spending money I dont have on a game that I am not sure if it will work. I really do want to play the game tho and been waiting for awhile. I will wait and wait until I get approved, if I get approved.

You dont have to pay to play.
Once the game goes Open beta you can play for free from then on.
The game will be completely free, no need for a purchase at any time.

I see it as this, we who have paid usually have paid because we played Mechwarrior or Battletech. We are still commited to it, and we offer our cash in hopes that it will be used to improve the game so that when it DOES come out, it's good and ready! Most betas I've been in were open, and they sucked. Bad. At least here, I paid $30, then after seeing it. I floored it and spat out $90 more, in hopes that it'll help speed development and awesomeness!

The "Key" here is... we as paying people are committing ourselves to aiding the game, not just playing to see it. That being said, if you've paid for key like the rest of us founders, I salute you for you commitment!

Talking of BETA KEYS, i have the founder and had a key that was given before that and that i´m using, is there a way to get that other key that i got from buying the founder pack to give to a friend?

Gest asking, because tecnicaly i have 2 BETA KEYS

Mmmyes, especially with that email indiscretion I read about, very nearly everyone who wanted to should have had a chance to play the beta.
