Hey all you BT/MW fans out there. In a recent edition of PC Gamer, they released their list of the Top 100 Games of ALL Time.

I am pleased to note that two popular games from our beloved genre made it on the list:

At #84 was MechCommander

& at #48 was MechWarrior 2.

I have not played either one but I know from the way I heard a LOT of people talk about these two, that I missed out on great games.

Congratulations to us all.

Both classic games, really wish someone could make an update of MW2 or at least the control system as it is so cumbersome it really detracts from the enjoyment. MechVM crashes if even look at changing controls so would love to see a stable version.

We had Tomb Raider Anniversary which worked wonders so why not MechWarrior 2 (Mercs and Ghost Bear included) Anniversary?

Because Activision is not part of MW/BT any longer. Micro$oft is not going to go about sharing its profits. IIRC Tomb Raider has always had the same studio developing it.

Which is probably the reason the MW/BT universe hasn't gotten as big as it could have..

I mean we could be on MW8 now.. IF FASA had the rights given to a Dev that hadn't changed over and over again.. or Developed it themselves and stayed in business doing it.

I know this question is a bit off, but what was the best game according to them? :D

ANd staying with Activision wouldn't help either. They go for $$$ and we would get Mech Assault 9001. ;)

We need to get a Mech Commander Gold event going in Game Ranger, it works and I have had some wonderfully nostalgic games of MCG MP
