This looks great! The vulture especially but also the texture work on the Executioner. I like the detail you put into the textures. Makes me want to put a little more effort into my models too. I usually can't be bothered to even UV unwrap them. At the moment I'm going for a cartoony style so that I barely have to texture at all.

Then again, given your update schedule, I remember why I don't do it. :D It just takes a lot of time to be thourough.

thanks for viewing and commenting :) i understand on the UV mapping it can be a real nightmare, i think the Exec was one of the hardest ive done so far. as for my udate scheudle its really random to be fair ;) i try to send as much time as possible on working a day. but junes been a busy month for me half of my friends birthdays land in june as does mine lol. anyway again thanks for the comments if you have a link to your work or a thread on the boards please PM me a link im interested to see how you cartoon style works out good luck and enjoy :)

P.S thaught i'd give you all a glimpse at my next possible W.I.P

The texture looks alright so far. This is where your model can really come to life. I'd suggest looking at aircraft decal kits for more detailing ideas. Especially think about adding some pilot personalization to the paint job. One thing Ghost Bears are known for is their artistic abilities, so you know the pilot would do something to the 'mech. Paint a landscape on a leg, or a prowling bear somewhere on the torso, perhaps a passage from the Rememberance or make one up to reflect some deed the pilot may have done.

Hi Hana sorry i didnt comment back, i like your suggestion and i will try to work it in somewhere down the line. it will probably be a while but ill try my hardest to work it in :) right now ive got the final diffuse maps and i hope you'll enjoy the latest renders ;)

small and quick update, been working on alot of things, so ive tried fit the Exec in when i can, i noticed that theres a few things missing for the diffuse texture and specualr map, also managed to hammer our a quick normals map, though i had to change my rendering method to show it off properly, this isnt the final result again the rendering methods has been changed and im going to set it up for a better qaluity render once im finished with the missing details, hope you enjoy the image. crit comments welcome as always.

The Executioner, ugly and awesome at the same time :)

Good job on modeling it, it looks like it stepped right out of TRO 3050.

Looks really great. Has a very "oldschool" feel about it. By that I don't mean that it looks like Mechwarrior 2 stuff, but that it seems very faithful to the original concept art. As I love animation and still work on my own short film, I would love to see it animated, now that it's rigged!

Do you plan on letting the Vulture and the Executioner fight it out in a final image?

thanks :P yeah my original plan was to creat a small battle scene between the two, but its changed a big since my first idea, i'd rather not say anything just yet, as i am concentrating on other work at the moment,

A Smoke Jag with a 60 ton Mad Dog against a 95 ton Ghost Bear Executioner? B)
It'll end like the Ghost Bears Legacy intro ... Be fair and give the Jag a Warhawk at least! :D
