What's more gracious on the battlefield than this?

Armament :

2 Medium Lasers
2 Machine Guns

This guy, for a medium, is really agile. Maybe not as much as Light Mechs, but you see the comparison.
If you want a good harass unit without falling into the Light category, this is your 'Mech.

well as for the MGS you will replace them with small lasers as the mgs do nothing and more armor so it would be fun but in stock config worthless.

Oh of course. That's the basic configuration. Nothing prevents you from changing the layout as you see fit :D

Let's see...

The PXH-3K variant uses an XL engine instead, 2 ER Large Lasers, 2 ER Medium Lasers and 2 Medium Pulse Lasers. Not bad, for a medium. Not the heaviest weapon loadout, but for a harassing unit, it's quite interesting.

Be wary of heat generation, however.

MGs aren't worthless, and neither is the stock configuration of the Phoenix Hawk. It's a much finer scout 'Mech than the Commando, or the Wasp or Stinger. The PXH-1 is perfectly usable as is. Removing the MGs also removes any pretense of being able to engage infantry, and having a no-heat weapon that still inflicts damage is never a bad thing. If there's anything outright wrong with the design, it's that it mounts a full ton of machine gun ammo instead of a half ton.

Same here, love the Phoenix Hawk PXH-3K.

The problem as I assume you guys know is that a Pheonix Hawk is a Macross Super-Valkyrie and so will never see the light of day again unless the bean counters at Harmony Gold have a sudden epiphany.

would only add, that perhaps this time around the licencing rights might be paid form this time, so unseen might make a come back, but, extremely unlikely

no griffin, no crusader, no battlemaster, no pheonix hawk, etc etc

All of the 'Mechs you just listed also have "Reseen" artwork and designs from Project Phoenix. They still exist. The Battlemaster, in particular, has been the "face" of BattleTech for the last few years. Take a look at a BattleTech logo sometime.

Right there on the right, is a Reseen Battlemaster.

I would love a pixie! PHX-1 is my favorite mech. Awesome little backstabbers! The machinegunes are totaly worth it for shooting into any wounds you open up with the lasers... Love this mech! Love Macross too!

You guys also forgot another fave mech.. the Macross Raider-X better known as the Rifleman . I've never seen a rebuild and am wondering if the Rifleman was redesigned or entirely discontinued like soo many of the original faves that Harmony Gold killed from Mechwarrior.

Here you go! That is the reseen Rifleman. Rest assured, it still exists. In point of fact, there is no 'Mech that was actually killed by the Harmony Gold issue. All of them have, in one way or another, continued to exist in BattleTech.

EDIT: fixed the link.

The problem is that their redesigns came later in canon, so we still have to deal with lore-wise common, invisible 'Mechs that really exist because nobody can "legally" represent them on the field. I would be thrilled if they used the newer reseen models to represent the older ones, just so I could use them in game, although I am sure a great deal of people would think that a travesty to the original (although copied) designs.

So I can say "I want my MAD-3R or MAD-4A!" all I want, but it will take many in-game years before it can be "legally" represented in the field, according to canon. Sad but true.

Considering the Awesome and Centurion look fairly different then they do in the TT, they could include a redesigned Phoenix Hawk if they felt like it. To not get sued by Harmony Gold the new Phoenix Hawk just has to have some number of major visual differences, which should be easy to pull off.

I'll get another one!

I want to spread the love of the P. Hawk!

Edit :

On another note, there's always the Clan Assault variant, the Phoenix Hawk IIC.

This guy was supposed to be released as the Matador, originally.
