I'll bump this being a fellow Ausie.

I'm tired of losing all the time. It's costing me too much money. Just wondering how the teamspeak thing works. I presume I'm added to a friends list and then invited into a group? Then we drop as a group?

I'm a casual player. I used to play world of warcraft and am no longer interested in raids and being on the game at a certain time. It feels too much like work rather than fun. I want a more casual turn-up-and-play style of play. Especially since my work shift roster rotates around horribly. I'm looking for an Australian based group who have players on at most times so I can just group up and go hunting. Weekends I don't mind an organised team effort but don't want anything strict like mandatory attendance or an assigned battle team I have to be there for all the time.

Does this sound like you guys?

That is exactly us Blackmane, We have 4 teams dropping right now at 1am in the morning SYD time. Had 7 teams going earlier. Head to our website www.armd.net.au and register. Go to the Start here thread and it will explain how to work the Teamspeak works. It's pretty easy, just download, set up the server details and log in.
Once you get to server just right click, poke one of the Unit leaders and they will drag you down into a team.
We do drop together and observe a structured command when we have our game faces on, but in saying that, we have a lot of fun doing it anyway.

7 Teams going a night at present, plenty of people to play with enjoying the game and helping each other. So if you want a fun friendly environment to play in, and plenty of opportunities to improve your game experience... then look up www.armd.net.au!

And get ARMD!

Growth, bonds, mateship... that is what ARMD is all about and with so many new faces you make friends fast, and alot of them. Dropping with 7 teams a night there are plenty of people to play with, even throughout the day we have a team or 2 running almost non-stop!

So looking for that decisive edge in combat? Looking for that knowledge someone always has your back? or just looking at kissing the dirt alongside fellow mechwarrior's in the heat of battle? Then get ARMD to the teeth!

No fee, only your time and participation.

However you you wish to donate to the unit fund, then we will not begrudge you the opportunity to contribute. :P

Prior to joining ARMD I was grinding away in pugs and thoroughly hating life. After one week in ARMD, I went from 0 names in my friend list to over 100. These guys are a big reason I am playing still playing MWO. Having a great bunch of people to play with totally changes ones perspective on things. Thanks for taking me in, and thanks for the fun I am getting out of this game now.

@MacKerris
I'm going to make an official reply. Simply to state that I'm sorry you were offended and that if you have any feedback, we'd be pleased to receive it via a private message. Please feel free to contact me to further discuss the issue.

It is the official position of ARMD that we offer a power down or even duals (Zellbrigen), based on the skill of our opponent and as a sign of ARMD honour. We also have a standing policy of posting that we are a premade at the start of the match, if we have multiple members in a team, in order for the opposing team to organise their tactics.

I have been with the ARMD team for about a month now and the change in
my game-play has been fantastic.
the support and mate-ship that is on offer is just great.
To anyone that is thinking of joining a Merc unit you couldn't go
wrong with checking out the ARMD crew to see if we suit your
style and type of game play in this great game :P

We, indeed, have a code of honour. I've never met another merc corp that offers powerdown as an option to surrender as often as we do. Lucky are those who are spared to fight another day... :D

Wow been a busy last few days! Have been really enjoying the friendly joint combat exercises with the 1st Blackburn Raiders and Deaths Hand Brigade.

Thank you to both units for the opportunity to battle it out against some very tough and skilled opponents.

I trust that both sides learned and gained much out of the experience, and really look forward to future co operation between us!

We at ARMD salute you!
