Great advertising thread guys, probably one of the most professional I have seen.

Thanks CrazyIvan!

We aim to hold to high level of quality in everything we do.

Considering the high calibre of personnel we have onboard and contributing, that looks to be something we will be able to continue building on. :)

"The word lieutenant derives from French; the lieu, meaning "in place", as in a position (in lieu of); and tenant meaning "holding" as in "holding a position"; thus a "lieutenant" is somebody who holds a position in the absence of his or her superior"
I hate to nit-pick, but the vibe I got reading that sentence about having to pronounce a word in a way that makes it not mean what it is supposed to sort of irked me. If someone joined and pronounced it the way it's supposed to be said and no one really cared though, than I apologize for making an fool of myself.

On another note, I love extremely well structured clans/groups/guilds in any sort of game, especially ones that focus on being militaristic. Great job. Especially the video, very well done.

Strewth!

This is the group I have been waiting for. Great structure and forethought. The colour scheme is great too. (Might change mine slightly to dark blue and gold. GOOOOO West Coast! :P )

The Anzac spirit is something that I think about and that same feeling is what I get when I see this package.

I am now with you.

The thngs we are working on now, i cant wait to roll them out and help all the new Pilots we are getting become the best they can be.

To all the new guys that have joined in the past week, has been an honour to watch you all improve already.

Fair point mate. It's just that being Aussie, that how our (and the British and Kiwi's) military's cuurently pronounce it. Lots of our guys still pronounce it the US way... :P

Thanks for the compliments, much appreciated!

LOL! - Guess that says it all really! :)

The reference is to the Ranks as shown on the 2nd post of this thread. Australia and Britain pronounce it Lef-ten-ent.

Not a big deal at the end of the day... some officers still say it the wrong way. :(

Some Battletech canon novels actually write it like that, when refering to Fed Comm ranks.

Just a friendly reminder that while many of our members are Australian, we also have many members from NZ and SE Asia who also call ARMD home. Check us out today here.

I would like to extend a "welcome mat" to all the new ARMD members. Thank you for joining us. There'll be so much fun now that we're a big group. I seems such a far cry from the 6-man team that it started up as. Makes me well up inside to see this group grow to what it is now.

Thanks for all your effors, Major, and all the other ARMD officers.

This would not have happened without your combined efforts.

I'm proud to serve and play side by side with you guys.

...just to clear things up. We are not turning away young players who love the game. (young folks can be mature, and us oldies can be just like little kids, too!)
we're simply offering a semblance of BT-world immersion with how we play.
you're all welcome to join if this is your thing.
you're also welcome to leave if it isn't.

bottom line is, you're all welcome.
