In case I can't make it, will one of you *promise* to ask the following question please?
>> What are your intentions for the skins?
>> ie; Each Mech will be able to choose from a set of pre-drawn skins - be they colour scheme or camo - that fully re-texture the 3D mesh, and are a single self contained item (a-la MW4), or;
>> Each Mech will have a single base-texture, and each location (arms, legs, etc..) can have a shader (colour or camo) applied over the top of the base skin, to allow players to create a unique scheme on the fly, so to speak (like Mech Commander, but more sophisticated).
>> The former requires a texture artist to create a unique skin for every possible colour & camo combination under the sun, and would be incredibly time-intensive, whereas the latter would allow for far more variety, creativity, and imho I believe would be far superior and a neater solution - and I believe would long term allow for greater revenue from customisation due to the greater variety that is possible.
Other than the artisic lead, I can't think of anyone more well placed to answer in a bit of detail..
*EDIT* <Checks over post> Yup, nothing NDA-breaking there, good - Ceiling Mech won't be visiting my room tonight..

Questions Loaded: All systems nominal.
Question: How much of a challenge was it to create or modify development tools for the production pipeline for MWO? Were any tools used in the production of your Transformers game appropriate for use in creating MWO?
Question: What is the toughest challenge of ‘Mech, weapon, effect or environment design? Are there any bottlenecks? If there is anything that is extremely difficult to get done but equally rewarding when you figure it out? Share your struggles if you can to help us better understand -and appreciate- the blood and sweat going into this game.
Question: (non-technical but associated) What kind of food / drinks are fueling this game? Which ones are consumed more than others? Do you realize that these things sort of become unofficial sponsors of MWO?
Question: Are there any plans for maps featuring indoor combat such as within or on the grounds of a 'Mech factory?
