FWL kids tend to die a lot, some get replaced with doubles, so it isn't a complete loss.

I think Heavy says it perfectly: "WHAT SICK MAN SENDS BABIES TO FIGHT ME?"

Apparently it's just cheaper to train 12 year-olds, right?

Sometimes Sarna's quality is really low. :-(

I'm almost tempted to rewrite that entry myself, minus the really basic errors.

Wow, it is really bad. I had to stop reading it for a minute there,

The quote was a mistake. I copy/pasted the info because some people may not like to click on links. I just reread it and do not like the article so I deleted it.

Cool, I'll delete mine now, since it's meaningless without a post it refers to. :-)

At first I thought that I was reading about Liao academy - daily life consisting of drills, physical and military exercises from age 12 without conventional education? ***?

But then I realised that this Sarna article was written as an act of informational warfare against FWL. When I checked 1699 FWL Field Manual, an article about Orloff academy, accents were different there:

Students enter the Academy at the age of 12 and receive extensive conventional schooling prior to beginning military training at age 16. Most cadets graduate at age 20 after four years of study.

The four years of conventional schooling instill a sense of family in Orloff cadets, as well as providing a solid grounding in military history with an emphasis on the history of the League. Physical training and drills are part of daily life, with all students following a strictly regimented lifestyle. As they mature mentally and physically, cadets receive instruction in additional aspects of military life.

So, looks like it was either a rare accident, or perhaps a result of some non-regulation activities (hazing, "rite of passage"), taken to the extreme. I hope investigation will reveal the truth.

What in the heck was a 12 year old doing there anyways? I mean I heard they were training young blood these days but that's just ridiculous
