Geetings fellow Capellans,

I was just reading the various posts around here and it's clear many people have a strong association with House Liao and that got me thinking about where this loyalty came from.

I always liked the Raven in MW4, got hooked on it and gradually found myself reading more and more about it's origins. My folks are from Hong Kong so that just strengthened the bond. Over time I've graduated to a Catapult (hence my name) but have stayed loyal to the cause. I've tired of MW4 now but am now going back to Battletech roots with MW2 Mercs and get my TT fix through MegaMek.

So what got you started as a loyal Capellan citizen (or associated merc)?

Allways liked the Capellen confederation. Their most effective secret service, their nice and totaly sane rulers and the inglorious Mc Carrons Armored Cavalry....

Okay now i tell you what i realy like. Their freakin sneaky mechs, the totally awsome Catapult, the warrior houses and their hilariuos wedding reactions. :D

I like helping the most overseen part of communities (everyone goes heavies, I take mediums.) and join them. And since Capellans are one of such communities, I chose to fight for them. I got rewarded with nice history and good people, never looked back. :D

That House Liao has always stood apart from the other Houses always appealed to me and that my fiance if Chnese kind of seals the deal.

to be honest...I assumed that Kurita (1st choice) and Davion ( 2nd) would be filled to the brim with asshats wanting to be on the cannonized "winning team". So a mix of wanting to be the underdog and trying to aviod the community where i think the "l33+" will congregate.

Im in the same boat as Lio Lio. From the little knowledge of lore i know, Capellans have taken hit after hit from Davion and some strikes from Marik right under their noses. Now while i kinda wanted to be Kurita (What can i say, im a samurai freak) i saw that the Capellans were the underdog, but seeing them not giving up and even fighting back really impressed me. Pride is a sin, one that House Liao is full of, but it seems to be the only thing holding it together. I'm looking forward to giving House Liao something to be proud in, a fierce some Mechwarrior Force.

I always liked the style of House Liao, though their completely insane rulers turned me off to them. Lets see if your exploits match your pride!

I guess I'm the odd one. I'm not a Capellan, per se. I'm a sucker for the St. Ives, so, in for a penny, in for a pound.

Hmm, I don't know for me :o Thing is, IRL, I am a communist. When it comes around to factions based on real life, I don't want to be seen as some right winged nutcase who thinks everyone must have white skin or needs to be rich to be called "human", so I chose House Liao :D I am still looking into the houses, and I will see what there is to see, but I think House Liao is the best for me. I just hope the ingame MW:O def colours wont look like *****, hahahaha!

@ Ralinos: Insane ? Insanity gave birth to creativity. I think you're quite dead wrong to assume insane leaders are bad things. Besides, we all need a bit of chaos in our lives! HAHAHAHAHAHA! And if you think HL's leaders are insane, I think House Davion and Steiner houses have been far worse.....

Hey, there are only 2 cases of actual insanity in the list of the Chancellors. The rest was just more or less...uhm...unstable. ^v^

I'm far to the right of George W. Bush, and just left of Adulf Hitler, (which is pretty meaningless since left-right distinctions are essentially useless for describing political ideologies, unless you are talking about members of the French house during the revolution...) and I don't think that "everyone needs to be white or be rich to be called human". In fact I know a lot of right wing nutjobs and none of them think that way, why, anyone who believed that right wingers thought that way would have to be some kind of commi....never mind!

I personally am a rabid fan of the Capellan Confederation. This came about from reading the sourcebooks. I mean every other nation decided to *try* and crush the Confederation. The sooner we can get back that which we had the better it is, and If I can be a part of it better still!
