as a old player i fell in love with the idea of Clan Ghost Bear
you were not some honor less cash hunter or fighting for a group that almost bombed them selfs back to the stone age
you were trying to come back "home" and restore the starleage

unlike many i loved the lore i still have my clan books
and the best battletech book i read was about the ghost bears(wish i knew the name so i can get a new copy)

there start almost never happend as the founders were to be put in other clans. But they were in such love that rather then that then went out into the harsh world of ice and snow and face death.

in the end they were saved by a ghost bear den
and found out that the bear was not this solo beast every one knew but a close famly unit. Armed with this info they went to the leader of the clans to fight there case and won

To me as some one that sees only dishonor and greed in the world. I saw the world i Wish was real a world were honor was the only thing that mattered and that love can win

*this is a repost and wanted to have it here so the guys asking what clan do i pick can see it"

(long time Clan Ghost Bear fan looking to be loremaster for a unit)

Seyla!

You are looking for either Roar of Honor which is Angela Bekker vs Clan Wolf. Then there is Test of Vengence with Jake Kabrinski, an Elemental ristar who faces DCMS and a DEST and then Clan Hells Horses.

Ghost Bear was one of the few Clans who retained the vision of Kerensky of returning to the Inner Sphere and protecting it. This is why they are and forever will be my favorite Clan.

[color=#C0C0C0]

Children of the Bear, hearken to my words:
Be always vigilant.
Learn for yourselves that which your forebears imparted So easily and freely;
Demand of yourselves
The foresight of Jorgensson
And the courage of Tseng;
Through them, we are strong.
To them a debt is owed,
Repaid through loyalty undying and Character unflinching.

-From the Oath of Acceptance, Clan Ghost Bear

As a old Kahn of GB for MW2-3 I'm going to join or start a GB for mwo as mercs i have played this game series since 1995 on line which included MW2,MW3,MW4,and all the expansions also the dreaded Mektek mod loll.So i have been GB in every incarnation of PC mechwarrior.I started on line with netmech,ten.net,and Kali back in 1995 on a 2400 baud modem and I'm dam glad i have cable now.So look for as a solid GB player or leader in the future.Hailzzzzzzzzz to all and see you on the battlefield soon.

P.S Also my cousin GB_GhostRider will be joining with me he has played since 1995 on line also.

Yes i have read Roar of Hounor, the ghost bears are depicted as haveing strong values of hounor and sacrafice. blowing off two of your fingures with a laser pistol to win a sort of rite of passage, now thats dedication.

This has always stuck with me - also from the remembrance:

Drawing strength from each other, they survived;
Tseng and Jorgensson emerged from the snow,
And forged a Clan in the ghost bear's mold:
Unity of purpose and strength of spirit,
No task undertaken lightly or left half-done.
To these ideals we hold true until we all shall fall.

Oh, and from recent listening to my backlog of No Guts No Galaxy the clans have been confirmed as playable and the devs are planning on implementing Zellbringen rules for them. Not sure how this will work out but that they're aiming for it pleases me greatly.

“Now is the time
To prove
What we know to be true:
That we shall conquer all.”

-- The Remembrance, Passage 155, Verse 2, Lines 45-48

Acting like this - German Clan Ghost Bear ! Can´t wait till we can play our true nature !!!!

Ghost Bear is my favorite clan by far. I am even playing as one in the RP section of the forums. They built a battleship that took a nuke and just thought, wait.... did something just hit me?
