You may have seen our previous thread discussing the possibility of an alliance. Well, I'm proud to announce that we are now going ahead with said alliance.

The Carrion Crows have launched the Free Mercenary Alliance with two other excellent mercenary corporations; more are readying themselves to join. We believe this alliance can help provide us with three things:

1. A mature community of gamers to play with

2. Co-operation with a large playerbase on achieving like goals and objectives

3. Potential for meta-gaming by acting as a conglomerate with alliance corporations

If you are interested in joining, simply contact me and we can discuss, or just post on our alliance forums. That's pretty much it! See you in game!

Best,
Vulix

Mr. Vulix:

This information is good to know. Thank you for sharing it with the Word of Lowtax. We too, fight the friends of those that would seek to tear down this game.

Take shelter in The Word of Lowtax, my friends.

I'll see your goals and aims and ask you, frankly, what is the command structure of this? What would I have to give up out of AU to make this happen?

I'm extremely leery of getting into any manner of conglomerate, as it sort of negates the reasons behind becoming mercenaries in the first place, and would not readily fit my Fanon unit's history, at all. So, make me comfortable with the idea, if you can.

Tell Lowtax that I'm only willing to talk if a sequel to Doomhouse gets released.

Edit: in all seriousness, you guys are going House Liao and not a merc corp, so it wouldn't work out regardless. There's always contracts though, and who knows what happens then?

I can tell you that most corporations currently int he alliance share your sentiments. We are keeping this loose and casual at the moment, especially since we don't know what types of game mechanics will be implemented to suppoort alliances. However, we always plan to keep corporations as individual units with their own decision-making, and the alliance as more of a collaboration effort between said individual corporations.

Still, I think I'd better hold off on anything like this until I have an opportunity to see you guys in action and you have a bit better reputation, IF the devs are going to support things such as alliances. For a mercenary business in BattleTech, that seems antithetical, and there IS always Outreach, but I guess something may come of this.

Harbingers of Chaos Inc. might have a interest in something like this, and would be interested in getting some more info if possible. Some info about us:

We are interested in finding some like mind pilots to shed some blood with, to make us all rich. Hope to hear from you soon.

Personally i see it sort of like the Small Guilds league, if you remember from WoW, the purpose of the Free Mercenary Alliance is to help those corps looking for work to prosper in the community and create a forum for competitive play for all serious corps in the merc community.
