I know the Summoner is Clan tech, but it will have been in existence for quite some time in the era the game is to be set in.

I love the idea of piloting the Summoner in either the offensive or command role. It's a classic design and one that I hope we will see earlier on, but I am not as polished on my BattleTech history as some folks here are, so maybe you can tell me if the Summoner being in use by the Inner Sphere is not kosher, or if it makes sense.

Hey just know that you have a Summoner lover on the inside. If there is a clan mech we will have it is the Summoner! Perfect brawler, fairly quick and with Jump Jets but enough of a punch as well. Can't wait. Centurion will tide me over ;)

Woot! ;)

Thanks for the response Russ. I'm eager to pilot the Centurion as well. Was thrilled when I saw the concept art go up on it.

Just so you know, the Summoner is not an IS mech and you won't see it until the clans invade.

speaking of command role mechs. I wonder if we'll see them treat the Archer appropriately and include it...

Good to hear the Summoner will be one of the first clan mechs available. B) One of my favorites. Got to add, yes it is a great infighter, but also a decent long range sniper equiped with long toms, gauss, or large lasers.

Though the Summoner does not compare to a Timber Wolf... (smiles evily), fact of the matter is, it's an excellent Mech and rather iconic in its own right. I would really love to see the Summonder in MWO. It's a mean tango to two step with.

We see him regularly. They call him Paul, and he summons large fits of frustration in forum goers.

Actually. Paul is better known not as the Summoner moniker, but "Thor", the Norse God of Thunder and Lightning. Because his wife said he was faster than a bolt from the heavens in bed, was all flash, no substance, and never struck in the same place twice.

Kleais you had best tread carefully
you wouldn't want to log in one day and find you can only pilot/purchase agro-mechs
especially if that day happened to be on the same day as the clans arriving

That may be as close to a 100% assurance we'll get the Summoner as we'll get! May not be gaurunteed, but close enough for rock and roll.

Wow. That's....just...I have no words for that.

Back on topic: I sincerely hope so, it's one of the two Clan 'Mechs I actually enjoy piloting (the other being the Shadow Cat).

Rest assured people, I am quite positive we will see all of the iconic Clan 'Mechs.

After all, there is not many compared to the IS, so we will likely see the Summoner, Timber Wolf, Dire Wolf, Hellbringer, Shadow Cat, Kit Fox, Adder, and many more.
