Are you guys the right ones to ask for a new MechCommander Game?
After having played Warhammer 40k - Dawn of War 2, i could not help but feel that the Engine would be basically perfect for a MechCommander Game.
So, what are the chances?
For the other MechFans:
What would you like to see in a new MechCommander?

Like Drop-Ship-Operations?
Artillery?
Aero-Space-Units?
Infantry/Support-Vehicles?
Come on people, be a bit creative, as long as you keep it in universe and especially MechCommander appropriate!

Dude, that's a bad joke to me, at best . . If it weren't developed solely for ios, it might have a future, but like that? no way.

Booo... hiss....
That said.. I KNOW Microsoft has a way to port iOS to WindowsPhone.. Just saying..
I assume no amount of begging to this Dev Team will help..
But maybe a link they can pass on :

To other Dev teams..

Blizzard took starcraft and gave it a new engine and some shiny graphics and made a mint with starcraft 2.

I mean even if they made Red Alert 2 with Mech. Would you really complain.

Never been a big fan of the Red Alert part of command and conquer either.
Also: yes, randomly generated maps/missions would be a nice idea to keep people playing.

How about a new Mechwarrior game using the XCOM game engine? I like the idea of the DOW game engine for a pure RTS; however, a turn-based destruction fest using the XCOM perspective/scale (but maybe better graphics) would be a true homage to the table-top roots of Battletech!!! Aaaaand discuss....

(we don't do that around here)
BUT! Well... I've burned a lot of time with both Dawn of War 1 and 2, and tabletop BTech, but not XCOM.
Personally I'd get a kick out of another RT/Turn Based hybrid like Inception. Heck, I'm replaying it in spurts here recently and loving it in ways that can't be attributed to nostalgia. The damage that lasts from one mission to the next, diverse and accurate modelling of mechs and vehicles from the 3025 TRO. (Not worrying in the least about "balance" and suchlike

It's like with Indiana Jones 4 and Star Wars 1,2,3 where they were ****** my childhood games. Dune2, C&C, RA, Dune2000.. Those were the only RTS games Westwood created in my eyes.
Yeah, I get kinda riled up when talking about Westwood Studios.
OT: The MechCommander games were brilliant! I would really like a 3rd release.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to lie down in a corner of my room in fetal position slightly crying because of the memories the posts about RA2 awakened in me.
