The TRO 3025 Steiner upgrade of the Banshee is the number one best Assault mech out of that era. it's devastating. The lyrans may not be that great at fighting, but they absolutely know how to make good assault mechs.

August 2049- so they're ravaging the combine and rasselhauge right now, I think?
Not in the Combine or Rasselhage yet. Just the Periphery. As the Periphery gets quiet people start wondering whats happening but don't put much thought into it as....well.....its the deep Periphery.
Wave one of the IS proper does not begin until March of 3050 when House worlds are hit.
Of course, ComStar knows about them long before that and <REDACTED>.

Gimme a Mad Cat, maybe a Zeus, and I'll be happy. Just something that doesnt look retarded and realistically-impossible please.
Hoping noone uses the "well all walking robot tanks are unrealistic" response...because its only partly true. well, only mostly true.
Complains about pandering to "fanboys" with mech picks, demands a MAD CAT of all things. Classic.
Also, isn't Banshee pretty much a diet-soy-Atlas?

If these guys get their Mad Cat and Kodiak, its only fair I should get a Warhammer.

Kodiak and Mad Cat aren't copyrighted by an evil empire, so it's not quite the same deal. Well... technically you could argue they are, but that's in-universe.
I gave up on the Lolhammer already. There are many mechs in the Inner Sphere, if this game manages to get a good start (which I'm hoping for with all my geekdom) I'm sure PGI can keep us entertained for years even without engaging in legal battles. It's not like those mechs are AMAZING anyway, they're just nostalgia boats. Won't let resentment over that matter and the perspective that I'll likely never get to pilot a TB get me down.
I was annoyed by the legal meddling for a while, but then I just shrugged and moved on. Harmony Gold won't hold me by the heatsinks. Also I'm too happy about Mr. Iglesias breathing new life into those piles-of-perspective-fail of artwork to really care.
TL; DR: they can keep the Unseen and choke on them IMO. This game is shaping up too great for me to personally care.
