Having always been a fan and supporter of the VF-84 and VF-103/VFA-103 and being a Navy man myself I very appreciative of this Unit. Well done and a fine selection. Sorry I missed the recruitment as well, I would be very interested in joining should the doors open again.

Well, the easy way is to go to http://www.blackburn...ders.enjin.com/ on a regular basis. One can learn when a recruiting drive is coming up as well as getting a look at the Raider's day-by-day workings.

The 1st Blackburn's Raiders once again have limited roster slots. Two to be exact.

We are looking for individuals who place teamwork and unit cohesion above individualism. We are a tight knit community. We believe that once you are in, you are one of us, whether one day, or since the beginning. We do not believe in in-crowds, cliques or cult of personality. We believe in someones POTENTIAL more than their current skill or leadership ability, and put high value in individual dedication and service to the team and your teammates.

We are approximately 60~% or so military or ex-military and our unit uses military tactics. Do not let this discourage you if you have no military service, however you need to be ready to be trained on some basic military principles and tactics. Even if you are former or current military, you will still need refresher training, it never hurts.

We love to have fun, but we are serious during training and drop times because we are focused on being a competitive unit.

We understand that individuals have lives and responsibilities and therefore DO NOT have requirements on attendance. If you enjoy being with us and playing with us, you will make time to be part of the team.

We play nightly from around 4 pacific (7 eastern) to around 9 pacific (12 eastern).

If you think you are up for it, send me a message on these forums, swing by the no guts no galaxy teamspeak 3 server at ts7.gameservers.com:9196 and look for the 1st Blackburn's Raiders channel, or visit our website at www.blackburns-raiders.enjin.com (hyperlink in my signature below)

Hey, if someone leaves hit me up. I've played and read all the books. I'm pretty good at these games because when I was growing up my dad had a "Throne", as he called it, where he had dual foot pedals for turning, double joysticks for maneuvering, and a throttle all for MechWarrior and his flight sims. Wish we still had them but there for the old computers.

I'm confident, I know how to play. Not the best lonewolf, but I am a huge team player. I've read the novels and I've always loved everything about this game. And it's nice to see such a promising clan/group.

So yeah, I hope in the future we could talk about me joining it would be a lot of fun, and I see your low in Mediums... My specialty! I would of registered on your website but I don't know if that would be out of place until I'm considered or something.

Ahh whatever I'l register any way.

Mic will certainly be neccesary, as it's part of the application process. Evidently you'll need to take your time. I'll note that there are 6 pilots involved in the application process at the minute. This takes time, so ......................

Ladies and Gentlemen of this community,

The 1st Blackburn's Raiders are looking for a few more active pilots, but I would like to deviate from our common recruitment message to something that I think will help us and any potential pilots out there, maybe even a few other teams.

What we are looking for is extremely difficult to find. We know it, and other teams out there who share our love for the game and for a tight knit community know it. What we are looking for more than ANYTHING, is a mentality in our potential recruits. A TEAM mentality. A mentality built around team growth over individual growth. A mentality that allows our pilots to accept feedback, absorb training, and devote themselves to something larger than themselves for the purpose of elevating their playing experience, and the playing experience of others.

This mentality can not be taught. it is something that individuals choose to be, or are born with. Those who have it know who they are. They know that I am reaching out to them with this message. If you find that this message is speaking directly to your "inner self", come find us.

Still looking for a couple of new faces. Space is limited :

- Professional and Organized Team
- Average age between 30 and 35
- Regularly scheduled training events (no required attendance)
- Voice Communications Required
- Competitive, yet not overly hardcore with requirements and drama
- Tight knit group, looking for like minded individuals
- 60% current / former military
- Use of military tactics, training documentation available for new recruits

/Salute....

I have recently taken an interest in MWO, since I noticed it is currently in Open Beta. I was looking for an MMO that is different from the others I have or am currently playing. My current MMos are: EvE Online and The Secret World. Past games are many, dating back over 10 years.

What made your group stand out above all of the others... "Jolly Rogers" caught my interest right off the bat. I have always been a fan of anything related to pirates, particularly in gaming. You Black and Gold color scheme is also eye catching and I have a military connection to that as well.

Next I noticed your attribute that you are 60% current / former military. I am a U.S. Army veteran, served from 1991 - 1999, in a Military Police Brigade in a variety of MOSs and capacities.

I'm a team player and at times a leader when needed, but I have always been a good soldier. Dependable, loyal and tenacious. I will fight to the death, hold my ground or do whatever is needed to give my unit a tactical advantage or to carry out the mission.

I am currently downloading the game and should be available in game by tomorrow morning. My call sign in-game will be (hopefully) the same as here: "Bluddwolf". I will likely choose a Light or Medium Mech and I anticipate playing the role of a scout.
