Hello Mech Fans and Devs
I wanted to add my view on what I think should be considered to add to the game.
Salvage!!
Nothing gave me greater joy than taking down a bigger mech then myself, and then being able to pick up the spolis of war afterwards. I really hope this plays a part in MWO, as I will defiantly be purchasing the game if it is.
I have had a good flick through of the game content so far and cannot see anything to do with salvage as of yet.
What does the MWO community think?

Will you enjoy the moment when your 'Mech got salvaged by another player?

I understand where your coming from, however, it would add another dynamic to the game, where mech pilots are taking care of their shots and "Kill the meat, not the metal". Besides, you could add an insurance service which would allow you to claim back the money you lost from losing your mech, or at least a percentage of the c-bills. depending on which policy you took out.
Or, it could be a PvE based part of the game. Where groups of mech pilots carry out missions together and complete missions. And depending on the salvage variant depends on if you get whole mechs, just the weapons or a percentage which you can choose from a list.

I guess it will be more profitable to be an insurance broker then a 'Mechwarrior.

They could put Salvage in but i would do solve it like this then.
If you buy a Mech in Game and you'r killed the enemy that killed you has a chance to salvage the kill. If he is successfull he can use that Mech from then on until he gets killed in it once then its gone. Also if you kill a previously salvaged Mech you won't be able to salvage it.
The Player that bought a mech in game never looses his mech though. This is more like a one shot Trial.

Juice, you are aware that THIS is a massive breach of the NDA?

This is why I hardly ever even browse outside the beta forums any more - too easy to forget which section you're in and do - well, what this guy did..

Holy crap, I can't believe I did that. I swear I thought I was in the beta forum still. I better find a mod to apologize to.

Let that be a lesson to everyone - double check which forum you're in before you post sensitive material.

Think I scared Juice here a bit.
Sent him a PM to remind him of the NDA.
Message was a bit too harsh though and he took me for being a dev/moderator.
Had to explain that I was not, and apologize for being a bit harsh.
