Born of the merger of two separate Davion DropShip manufacturers during the Star League era, the combined Dynamico Ltd has maintained a centuries-long reputation for producing Avenger and Buccaneer-class DropShips. Not one to rest on its laurels, Dynamico was the first DropShip manufacturer to release new designs using recovered technology from the Helm Memory Core prior to the Clan Invasion as well as developing the Aurora-class modular DropShip in conjunction with Shipil Company of Skye.
Unlike most other DropShip manufacturers, Dynamico also produces the lasers carried by its designs, having purchased the Delavan-based ExoStar Laser Technologies after the collapse of the Star League which had left the company bankrupt. The decision to pursue supply contracts with the AFFS revitalized the company, enabling it to produce its own advanced laser weaponry as well as licensed Martell-designed models for the Federated Suns' military ever since.

The upgraded Avenger, despite the early criticisms, packs more firepower and armor than DropShips twice its size. Its future seems promising.

Personally I will stick with the Leopard and Overlord-Class dropships for all my transportation needs. Sturdy and reliable vessels that have proven their worth time and again not only in momentary times of peace but combat roles.
Not to say that Dynamico Ltd. is heavily Davion goes against my instincts of trust.

Minor side note - am I the only one thinking the thing in that picture looks way more like an aerospace fighter than a dropship? Not exactly sure about the origins of that, but heck, if that ain't a cheap rip-off of the renowned Sholagar, I don't know... :D

Avenger is a striker, not a transport. It so fast as light ASF and have strong weapon loadout. Davion in one word. :D

Well, yeah, comsidering it can't transport any mechs at all that's reasonable, however if your Dropper gets caught without an escort by an Avenger, you might be out all your mechs....

It does... but a DropShip kitted as a striker needs speed, and you'd presumably get a lot more in atmosphere if you didn't look like a flying brick or a Borg Command Sphere.
