Dangit, Johnson, I can't afford to lose any more IQ points. Why did you post this and why did I watch it?

...how did Nazi's get to the moon with enough people to start a population...?

NO! Forget I asked!

I...just....what....never. Just..no....

Who am I kidding, that looks terrible enough I HAVE to watch it. And more than likely, it'll end up on my list of terrible movies I can't help but enjoy.

it opened Feb 11th @ Berlinale... to rave reviews. It was partially Crowdfunded, as in people on facebook invested in it. Just think "Mars Attacks" but with Nazi's.

One more reason to boycot Facebook, I say. And "Mars Attacks" was so funny and cult because it played with a lot of the old clichés or "Space Invaders" back to the black&white movie times. This so far looks more like a/the scriptwriter for it saw "Sky Captain" and went emo because someone else had written it. And then created this...

Nevertheless, gonna watch it most likely, if only to see what Hollyweird managed to do this time with its very own nazi myth. Which has usually so little to do with reality. Expect lots of fake "german" accents and totally (underwhelming) over-the-top acting. But hey, maybe at least they managed to make a decent soundtrack for it.

Can hardly wait for the sequel, "Commie Killer Tomatos invade Kansas" anyone? :P

Hollywood had like nothing to do with it... made by a guy from Finland... its Indie. They compare it to "Inglorious ********". But the sky captain part, yeah, I can kinda see it :P

Iron Sky is a comedy. About Moon Nazis. Also, Space Zeppelins. If you're taking it seriously in slightest, you're doing it wrong. The fact that the US president is a caricature of Sarah Palin, and that the American space ship is called the 'USS George W. Bush' should be dead give-aways for that. You know, if the Moon Nazis, their Moon Jackboots, Moon motorcylces with Moon sidecars did'nt already give that away.

As a few people have pointed out, Iron Sky was not created by 'Hollywood' but instead by a bunch of Finns and assorted Europeans. A few Austrialians, too. Note that many of the Moon Nazis are actually played by German actors. Fun little tidbit: the guy playing the Moon Fuhrer is the guy who played Yuri(the psychic communist mastermind) in Red Alert 2's live action sequences.

How many times did I manage to use the word 'Moon' in that post?

Looks like a fun psychotronic comedy to me. And, agreed, it looks like it would be great MST3K fodder, but alas.
