I predict that the Solaris 7 Expansion Pack is going to be the introduction of close combat. People will be able to build Arena Mechs that they may choose to have also as their main mech (a la Yen-Lo-Wang), or as a seperate mech solely for the arena. Hatchets, swords, mining drills, reinforced forestry chainsaws, impact hammers, balls and chains, fist spikes, torso spikes, codpiece spikes, all of this will come about 6 months after the release of MWO. Tina Turner will be there and the audience will shout, "Two mechs enter! One mech leaves!" and when you blow the armored head of the atlas open you'll see the innocent, drooling face of a newborn babe.

Logitech is working with the MWO team to come out with joysticks/controllers themed specifically around Mechwarrior.

I will even say that the pictures of the team using the G940 HOTAS were probably donated by Logitech to the team after talks between the two companies started.

(HANS) PGI is currently in talks with the producers of the film Short Circuit, a remake of the 1986 comedy science fiction film. The remake closely follows the originals film plot with the exception that the new Johnny 5 seeks help from a young boy.

PGI and IGP seeing that young boys and robots go together like peanut butter and jelly quickly jumped at the chance to get several cameo appearances of classic BattleTech™ BattleMechs™ in the film. Expect to see such iconic Mechs as the Atlas, Commando, Dragon and there's even been several hints dropped that there will be one or two Mechs "seen that have not be seen before like they were seen before".

The film has an expected screen date of 2013. No specific date has been given but we here at HANS© anticipate a spring release which would coincide with the arrival of the Clans in the MechWarrior universe.

Stay tuned for further developments.

wow! nice successful post. I hate crashing parties but dammit I really wish a % of the number of comments on this thread were critical hits in the suggestions area since they Devs are paying attention and doing their best to test out our more useful ideas. I am sure they are flipping through a thread like this too but maybe only for a laugh or a new quote line.
