No, the Timber Wolf will be in the game. In LEGO™ form. One direct hit with an AC/10 or /20 will cause it to fly apart into its component bricks, which can then be salvaged to build new OmniMechs. LEGO™ is, in fact, the basis of OmniMech technology in MWO.

Here is my speculation...

1. With the game software you recieve a "Learning Package" including robotics, mechanics, materials, electronic and instrumentation.
You won't play your robot until you pass a written test, that proves you are able to see your robot's blueprints and command the fixing of broken parts after each battle. Also, you must visit the virtual hardware shop and ask for the parts required for manteinance.
Failing on repairing properly may cause a part falling down on the middle of a battle.

2. To be a commander, you must prove militar range over sergeant, or manager in a company with more than 100 employees, besides passing the hardware test for mic. and speakers.

Once a week there will be a special free-for-all match against the Devs. They will have unlimited ammo and heatsinks, making it the ultimate fight to the last Mech standing scenario. If a non-Dev wins the match, they are accused of cheating and are permabanned from MWO.

There will be an option for 2 pilots in one Mech, but it will be akin to the Sega Genesis mode, where one pilot controls the legs and one controls the torso and arms. Each pilot will have a different view on their screens based on what part of the body they control. However, if one part of the body is destroyed, both pilots are ejected from the match.

Paul's Mech is a special Urbie that has a Trololol face painted on the cockpit. If it hits it forces the player to instantly rage quit the match.

Edited to add: Poptart mechs turn into actual Poptarts, as in the food. Mechs with hands will then be able to walk up to said Poptart and destroy it by picking up the Poptart and 'eating' by smashing it into the 'face' of the Mech.

After each match every combattant will have to write a mission report, triplicate. Additionally, the commanders will have to fill out forms for armour, ammo, and spare parts requisition, also triplicate. Finally, Paul will evaluate all mission reports and approve the requisition forms. Whom am I kidding, Paul will never approve any of the forms, but insta ban anyone who's writing a poor mission report. This is part of his ultimate trolling scheme...

Back to Page One, dammit!

---

(HANS) It is all but confirmed that PGI and a major prepared food company are in final talks to bring a Mech themed tomato sauce and noodle product to market. Called "Mech-y O's" it will feature noodles in the shapes of several of the iconic Mechs; Atlas, Commando and it's even rumored, the Urban Mech. A product launch to coincide with the game launch is planned with the developers all signed up to eat nothing but "Mech-y O's" until all the bugs are fixed or eliminated.

MW:O will nearly get banned in germany due to excessive violence. The game will still be released, but the german version will not feature any humanoid mechs, since shooting body parts off of humanoid enemies is verboten.

The north american version is also changed, but in a different way and for opposite reasons.

The japanese version will replace reactor explosions with mechs dissolving into bunnies and flowers because of certain sensibillities.

This thread will live forever. At least in our hearts. :)

Until the bugs in the game are eliminated or the bugs in the soup are eliminated?

PGI shocks everyone at their GDC launch by saying "Screw it, Role warfare and objective play is too hard! We're going to do strict team death match. Assault mechs will be the end game and expect to grind for months to pilot one, or pay $100."

A special skill that allows your mech to manuver like the ones on battleship Yamamoto or the original battletech anime. I really liked the idea of the Hula girl. Sounds a bit like Fallout.

I hear speculation that to continue to invigorate the reboot campaign for the Mechwarrior Franchise, PGI will be incorporating elements from Japanese anime to include:
  • Doe eyed characters with short skirts and flowered undies.
  • Male protagonists that are dripping with angst and inner turmoil.
  • disproportionately large swords.
  • Little cute alien sidekicks
  • Lastly... All Mechs will be given fully articulating hands.
Oh, and... As a result of public outcry, all Mechs will not only be able to side-step but through an unprecedented agreement with Microsoft, we will be able to, via Kinect support, be played in Dance Dance Evolution.

I want to see an Awesome (It would've been a Warhammer, but ya know...) stomp to Jump Around by House of Pain

James Earl Jones will be voice acting as ilKhan Leo Showers.
The Urban Mech will be re-designed to look exacly like R2-D2
The Spider will be re-designed to look exacly like C3-P0
Mechs with hands will be able to equip and use Lightsabers.
(pilot skill: THE FORCE will be a premium feature)

The developers will be bribed by some shady organization, resulting in the game being released ONLY on the original Nintendo Game Boy.
Premium subscribers will be ablet o upgrade to Game Boy Color.

There will also be a special game-mode, wich features PokéMon, where you can (if you have a mech with hands) throw PokéBalls at them, catch them, train them, and then have them fight for you in regular games.

Blastoise will 1-hit-KO an Atlas

Well, I suppose I should stop standing in awe at this clever thread and the pillar of awesomeness that apposes the regime of Paul.

Ok so here it goes, I predict that the first DLC will in fact be a virus put out by Paul, with the help of 'behind the scenes' Kyle which will put the V for vendetta face on every mech forcing the IS to collapse in on itself through NPC riots. This here in by will usher in the clans to a desolate IS who will accept the clans as their saviors.

In this way, the Dark ages will be here with all the neat dark ages mechs that every one is so hip on and we get to skip all of 3050-70

Actually I couldn't find a clip of the last scene from the TV show Cheer's. So I went with the next best thing that was also relevant.

When the Closed Beta Tests are started up, the players with the most forum "Likes" and have demonstrated the ability to successfully troll Paul will be picked to join in. However anyone that doesn't send in any test surveys or support tickets will be perma-banned from the rest of the game. It will be done ceremonial style with the Grand Council. The Developers will cross their arms and turn their backs while the banned will walk down the path of shame.

Strict perma-death for all accounts, like in Steel Battalion. (If your mech blows up before you manually eject, your character is wiped)

You will start with a wasp, and a 10m C-bill debt that charges interest at the end of every day. Repairing your mech from slag to 100% will cost you the same amount you get from winning 5 consecutive games, so that there will be a clear difference between talented players (people with repaired mechs) and noobs. (anyone who doesn't have a 5:1 win ratio, and is forced to play in barely functioning mechs)

You will have to play a minigame to remodel your mech.

The devs have been saying "all mechs are viable" because when the game releases only Light mechs will be purchasable with C-bills and they want to avoid people shouting P2W. Medium-Assault will be bought with real money only.

Anyone fielding more than 1 of a weapon will recieve massive penalties for "boating". This includes mechs that come standard with multiple weapons of the same type, like the Awesome.

MWO is actually going to be an open world game. You will have to walk your mech to the fight, and then afterward walk your mech back to a repair facility. If your mech was destroyed, you have to walk back on foot. (or possibly crawl if you were injured after ejecting) There will be a cash shop item that air-lifts you back to a repair station.

The devs don't understand how to balance the game, so after about a week of play everyone will be riding in Assault mechs at all times. Devs will respond to this by removing all Assaults people have purchased, and making them into Cash shop only items.

MWO will have an option to pause combat and select your attacks for the round. Combat will play out similar to VATS from the Fallout Franchise.

MWO will allow players to play a first person social MMO (like second life) as their pilot when they're not in battle. All servers will be RP and players will be expected to know and memorize all lore that might interact with their character. People who don't RP will get temporary bans on their accounts. (perma-bans for repeat offenses)

Trees stop mechs in their tracks because PGI was threatened by Green Peace for their crimes against trees. The drama began when Paul saw a picture of a Maple Tree and made a tweet about wanting to "tap that".

Flamers no longer run on the fusion reactor of their mech. They instead burn the souls of your fallen enemies. When you kill an enemy the "soul meter" for your flamers fill up. When you kill a Draconis Combine mech it fills up at double rate as their souls are particularly flammable.

When you collect over 9000 souls with a flamer on a single Chassis, you go into a new mode with the mech. It grows spikey yellow hair and you have a wavering aura.
