The Mayan calendar did not take into account leap years, so technically, by their count the world should have ended for quite a while now.

There's also the slight problem of the spanish having wiped out the mayans which kept them from continuing with the calendar.

I have heard that at the end all the houses will have to fight Zeon after a colony drop on Tharkad and New Avalon. (Zeon absorbs all of the clans before the invasion so instead of all those clan mechs there will be zakus instead thus infuriating all the clanners out there even more)

To qualify as a Clan player, you will first have to construct your very own 'Mech from scratch... just like a Jedi padawan has to do for the first light sabre.

In this entire thread, I'm surprised this bit didn't show up!

My speculation is that there will be voice commands, mics, kinect, whatever, and in order to execute any attack, you must declare your attack. And if you Alpha Strike, you must scream it out with a suitable volume. If you don't your mech explodes dramatically. This includes DFA and melee combat too

declare your attack? you mean like how in pool you say x ball corner pocket? MW:O will include the 3 board chess in Star Trek

In order to play as a Clan Warrior, you must first submit your fully sequenced genetic code. Only those players whose DNA possesses a significant match with one of five strains per clan will be allowed to fight for the Clans, and may only fight for the Clan whose bloodline they match. All other players will be mocked as freebirths and will only be able to fight for the Inner Sphere.

The base strains will, of course, be based on the developers' own sequenced genetic code, since they are obviously superior.

Eh, I was thinking on how most anime shows people scream out their attack, usually starting talking but screaming by the end of the name. Like "Alpha... STRIIIIIIIIIKEEE!!!" sort of thing

That would be correct. And if it involves more people, like the Jet Stream Attack! you should be able to synchronize your attack declaration with the other participants in the attack.
