I just got out of the hospital, so now that things are cleared up for myself, I'm going to start working on making a group site we can communicate on. Do you guys have any preference? A forum, facebook group, etc...
Let me know.

I think a Facebook group will do, for now. If we expand or if there's something particular we want to publish later, like training practices, rooster or original creations sharing, then a forum or site may become more suitable, but only later.
If you're gonna make a group and add me, look for Enrico Andrea Nisticò from Turin, Italy.

Well, I'm a bit of a military fan, and I do a lot of reading on military stuff. Rooivalk, which as I mentioned is Swahili for Red Kestrel, is the name for the South African AH-2 attack helicopter, which carries a 20mm cannon and six hardpoints for ATGMs, rocket pods and AAMs. Description wasn't necessary, but what the hey. Anyways, I've always thought it sounded nice, and I immedeiately grabbed it when I signed up
P.S. - sorry for not replying sooner, work has been hell for the last while.

@rooivalk quite interesting, and understandable, we've all got stuff going on in real life I'm sure.

This is not the same Crescent Hawks that you remember, Sammy. We are not going to try and claim previous rights to this stable name - all CHs I've contacted have agreed to try and figure out some way to unite with old friends based. Based on the scope of the game, we determined it would be better to merge with people we already know instead of recruit from the ground up when there is a good possibility we need 30+ good pilots, and not 10+ like we ran with in MPBT: Solaris.

I know it wasn't directed at me, but thank you guys for letting us use the name. You're being far more gracious than others here.

In Role Speak, I am a freelance mercenary currently seeking a house. I was with Clan Wolf until the Crescent Hawks' Inception, at which time I submitted my resignation and dropped my contract with Clan Wolf. (I'm a little rusty with Mech Warrior lore...hopefully there won't be a pop-quiz yet!)
Have you decided on which method of voice comms you will be using? I prefer Teamspeak myself, or does anyone know if this game will feature any form of built-in voice comm?

My apologies in the delay Gunny (for all of you: I just finished moving into a new place). You're more than welcome in, and as soon as we develop an offsite HQ we'll let you know. As far as comms I'm not sure what the game will support yet, once we find out, any input is welcome.

seems we have similar interests as I also have a history with the Hawks, as CO in MW2 Mercs ppp (not kali) until we upgraded to the KHs in NBT league.
But its too early to think about forming a group like this, since we dont completely know yet how the system will work regarding canon units. I dont want to offend anyone, but I think its a bit dumb to be forming units with canon names with the possibility that later these people will find out they cant use it after all.
Anyway, im not thinking on leading a unit again, my priority right now is to play with the few surviving members of my old command, then see how things work and think about what to do, may welcome some contact with you guys if you succeed in keeping this identity
