My Mechwarrior 2 remix, featuring George Ledoux

Playin' in the beta has taken me back to the days of Mechwarrior 2, the only other Mechwarrior game I've played besides this one (I'm not counting the SNES port). Mech2 wasn't just a solid game for shooting robots, but it also had a solid soundtrack. Gregory Alper and Jeehun Hwang put together some dramatic and atmospheric brilliance with those tracks I feel.
So I took one of the tracks and remixed it, 'cause I just love doing that sorta thing. I went for building on and reinterpreting the original's tribal/industrial aggressiveness and epic melody, while adding my own heavy drums and deep sub-bass vibes. Adding a cherry on top is the voice talents of George Ledoux, setting the tone for this Mechstep Dubwarrior riddim.

I've been looking to create my own tracks, but had had difficulty figuring out what tools I need.

I use FLStudio 10 and a number of VST plugins and synths like NI Massive and Absynth.
