Hi Everyone

Bit of a book junkie and I've recently read the short story collections Battlecorps Anthologies 1 and 3. Was wondering if some of the more informed Mechwarrior fans might be able to suggest some good books that take place in roughly the same time frame as the game.

ALL. OF. THEM. There's only one I've read so far that I don't feel particularly thrilled about (Ideal War), as the premise was preposterous from a sane human standpoint. As for the rest, They're amazing. Especially The Blood of Kerensky Trilogy and the Warrior Trilogy. Michael Stackpole is the man.

I would recommend starting with the Blood of Kerensky trilogy by Michael A, Stackapole. Its one of the better series in Battle tech and introduces some of the major people in the future Battletech storyline

There are a few that are in that format, but I don't know of any that came for PDF downloads, a lot of these were written 15-20 years ago. Check used book stores, and online. I bought a significant number of mine from Booksamillion back when they had a decent way to buy tons of used books, Amazon may have a better one now, I haven't checked recently.

Don't be afraid to check used book stores in person, I had at one time several within 1 mile of my house, and they had a dozen or so that I snatched up greedily. The only downside, is some of the early battletech novels had only 1 printing, and are hard to find. Others had a second printing when the TV show came out. I strongly suggest making a list of the ones you have, so you know which ones you still need.

I'M SO HAPPY,
My mom found my Battletech novel collection (around 30 or so novels). Its been lost (or misplaced) for 5 years.

Going to start from the Warrior Trilogy and work my way towards the Fedcom war.
Now I need to find a running list of where to follow after. I swear I only read a few novels once.

Also found my Robotech novel collection.
Now I need to find my Battletech TROs now.

(also probably WTB 5th novel (Sword and Daggers?) of the Twilight of the Clan series; apparently I am missing only that novel.)

If you have never really read any of the BattleTech books start with "Blood of Kerensky". It will give you a very down and dirty explanation of whats going on in the innersphere. Then read the Saga of the Grey Death Legion. The story of Grayson Death Carlye is iconic of the Mercenaries of BattleTech.... God, it has been so long... I need to start rereading these stories...

Interesting/embarrassing fact- I'm 29 now, but back in 6th grade, I was a terrible reader and had little interest in books and only bothered with ones with pictures. Then the cover of a Battletech novel caught my eye. I flipped to the back of it to read how it ends like I do with any book, and was surprised to find pictures of mechs. I did the same with the other books next to it and saw they were all different and suddenly I cared about reading about these things. When I told my parents I was interested in reading a book for once, they happily obliged and bought me one. After reading the entire thing in one sitting, I knew I needed more. Every week since then, they bought me another one in the series until I read them all.

Thanks to all that, I went from a terribly slow reader with a very limited vocabulary for my age, to an extremely quick reader with a substantially expanded vocabulary in a couple of months. As a result, English became my strongest proficiency in school and I completed all of my English-related college courses by the time I was 17. Thank you, Battletech, for being a very important catalyst in my education.

I've looked at the wiki, the previous posted links in this thread, and the mech warrior database of information yet I have several books that don't fall into the timeline. Can anyone point me to where the following fall into place?
