Whist the Jaguars are my favorite clan, its hard to throw my weight behind them knowing their fate =(

That fate may not occur with players determining the future of the Inner Sphere this time around :P

Smoke Jaguars are kind of like Jag owners, but without the charm. Enjoy your gen0cide, kitty cats.

Considering that
  • the Devs are/were evidently planning on using the major events of the BattleTech timeline to drive Community Warfare - thus, why certain "core planets" would be "protected" by them, and
  • the death of the Jaguars was the impetus behind the resurrected Star League and Operation Bulldog and Task Force Serpent, as well as the event that serves as the conclusion of the Invasion Era and the lead-in to the FedCom Civil War (as well as the Capellan-St. Ives War)
and (from Dev Blog 01)
  • Core WorldsAre managed by the dev team. These are worlds that necessary for future planning and part of major historical events.
  • Faction Worlds – Are fought over by Faction players. These planets buffer core and border worlds, and do not play a significant role in major historical events. Rewards for controlling these planets are directly linked to global bonuses and abilities associated with a player’s Faction.
  • Border Worlds – Are fought over via a contract bidding system by player run Mercenary Corporations. These planets change hands on a regular basis, and have no impact on historical events. Rewards for controlling a boarder world are significant and go directly to the occupying Merc Corp.
  • "It’s important to state now, that worlds can change from Border to Faction to Core, or any combination thereof, at any time by the development team. This will be necessary to facilitate dramatic changes in faction territory control as we progress through some tumultuous times within the BattleTech® universe."
it seems rather likely (better than even odds, IMO) that things will be set up such that MWO will generally progress as the BattleTech universe always has... meaning that Clan Smoke Jaguar, as an entity, will likely have no choice but to die yet again... :(

(Not trying to flame)

Strum, I would think the Smoke Jaguars will have to be defeated first....my unit is small (for now), but GOOD LUCK beating down Death and his boys (2nd Jaguar Guards).

Now, now, Ehose...that was not very nice. ;)

Then we shall live on and ascertain our vengeance against these stravags as the Fidelis. Vast in numbers or not, we will not fall so easily, even if these developers are against the favor of the Smoke Jaguar, and of course, we know what the fate of Victor Steiner Davion will be... That is, if the developers wish to work in accordance to specific key events within the BattleTech timeline.

They can only kill us in this "make beleive timeline". They can never kill us in spirit.

Indeed. Their pettty fairy tales of the lore are all that they have against us, for in battle, my unit of Jaguars have crushed many of these stravags countless times, with over 900 screen shots to back that (pugs and premade matches).

Is there any sort of list of all current Smoke Jaguar units?
That way if new groups of players want to name themselves after a unit, they'll know there isn't already one that claims that name?

The front page has some links and limited info.

My guys represent the 2nd jaguar guards and can be found at www.clansmokejaguar.com
Ignotuses boys represent alpha galaxy
The German guys i don't know about

Afaik, there's about 100 pilots between us.

I'd also like to propose regular weekly training sessions using drop limit rules based on total weight limits with the other jaguar units. Ignotus are you interested? Contact me however you fancy if so, enjin is usually best.

Would be cool if there was a CSJ clan council of all the different units.
Maybe they could standardize bloodnames and stuff...

Ok that's nice.

Join us when community warfare comes out then.

Looks like you want to get active under SJ again, may be wise to consider picking a galaxy to be a part of, we've already got alpha and beta, and I think that is a good way of keeping everyone happy.
