Dude is ROM want you gone you would just disappear. You would go for a walk to the corner store for some smokes maybe a beer or something and never be seen again.

I think the mechs should be in the game, unseen, reseen, project phoenix, or redesigned.

They are all of the common mechs of the IS, and some of the Clan. With them gone there is a void in the line up.

Of course, while I absolutely loathe the regular unseen Marauder (it looks... just too impossible to stomach, all legs)... FlyingDebris' magic has made it absolutely drool-worthy as well.

I think I'm in love. I have a lust for the Marauder, and that would fill the need. The overhead Cannon has always given the thing a great silloette on a ridgeline, and it's less Marauder and more Hollander with the shoulder mount cannon...

As for the Rifleman, as much as I like that design, it's really at the core just a smaller Jager... And the Jagers current look is close enough for me to not care.

My 0.02$...

Be original, there is NO WAY all cool designs for mechs ahve already been drawn - period. Have a hvy mech with reverse knees, and hunched over and call it what you want... Have a three legged mech that has no need to turn, it just starts walking in another direction...Have a mech with 3 arms... have a mech that has 1 leg, pogo style. It doesn't matter, just be creative and come up with cool designs... thats all that is missing.

for example: I would love to play a rifleman, but it won't happen. Give me a 3 legged quad beamer mech and call it <jabberwaky> and i'll love to play it. see...

This game has so much creative potential in mechs, why all the fuss about these mechs. World of tanks has hundreds of tanks in game, and they pretty much HAVE to have tanks that either existed in plans, prototypes or for real. Battlemechs? NO such thing... creativity and a glass cieling on it is the only limit.

This game can just move on, and never have to look back.

A salute to the devs... keep up the improvements and add-ons... this game will soon rock!!!

I am going to have to disagree somewhat with this. You do not start adding non-lore chassis over lore-chassis for the same reason a WW2 game should not add a Warhammer 40K Eldar Falcon hovertank. It would break with the setting of the game. At that point it's no longer a game set in the universe it's supposed to be. Particularly when there's literally hundreds of lore mechs to choose from. Bringing in something like one-legged pogomechs would make as much sense as the USS Enterprise participating in the attack on the Deathstar. You might make it work, but you're no longer playing in the setting the game was supposed to use, and to some of us that really does matter because we do not want to play random giant robots game, we want to play in the Mechwarrior universe.

Personally I'd be perfectly content if I could have the entire original 3025 TRO lineup, please. I'm not greedy after all.

Seriously though. I would love to see Alex's take on the classic unseen in the MWO style, even if they never actually showed up in the game. He has done a magnificent job with some originally truly unimpressive looking mechs like the Centurion and Cataphract.

If you played the TT version you want something representing the unseen mechs. I mean the damn Warhammer was all over the box copy ver 2. My friends and I played those iconic mechs in the 80's and one of them questioned to me recently about why this Mechwarrior Online does not have any of them. I had to explain in short terms the legal issues but I thought it sounded absurd even when it was coming out of my mouth. Those reseen designs are still too dated and don't do justice to the original designs. I think PGI could redesign them and keep to their spiritual looks without having legal issues.

Actually, they have claimed that legally there is no issue. I imagine that even if they were certain of winning a court case they would not want to risk having to spend time and money on it. Defending your rights against a company with deeper pockets is very expensive, as FASA found out.

Why the **** do you want a bunch of stolen unoriginal mechs added rather than creatively made original mechs?

You people baffle me.

They were not stolen. They were legally licensed. The reason they are now unseen is not because FASA didn't have the right to use them, but because Harmony Gold could afford to keep the case in court until FASA Could no longer afford the legal costs and therefore was forced to settle or risk going broke.

First of all, not stolen. The company that held the rights in Japan sold them to Harmony Gold first, and then, illegally, sold them to a second company, because, hell, more money.

Also, it's not entirely what they look like, but also the stats associated with them. I could live with the Reseen or Alex's redesigns, because, as stated elsewhere, the stuff he comes up with looks amazing. That said, pretty much all the 55-ton mechs are Unseen, ie, the Griffin, Shadow Hawk & Wolverine. The only one that isn't, the Dervish, is an LRM mech and we already have plenty of those.

Amongst the others (Locust, Stinger, Wasp, Valkyrie, Archer, Warhammer, Rifleman, Marauder, Battlemaster, etc.) there are many solid mechs there with excellent configurations and set-ups that would be very nice to have in the game.

I'd like to see those mechs back in game, warhammer and the marauder, but as far as I know this won't be possible and PGI stated many times that we'll never see them.

I think it'd be hard to find someone playing this game that wouldn't want at least one of those mechs in the game.

only Unseen I really really would like to see again is the Warhammer, I don't see how you can make a mech look any better than this, it's just one Bad *** looking mech.Posted Image

Warhammer is the last mech HG would allow us to make, trust me.

Heck, even mighty Activsion Blizard backed off using that design.

Can't they just make new models that don't violate HG's copyright on terrible shows about children with big hair? I mean, you could make a MAD model that wasn't unseen or reseen, and still call it a marauder. Then HG can suck on their own impotence and keep their outdated '70s crap as the world forgets about them.

... Maybe because what you are playing right now is based on this:

THIS is battletech. This is the core of what MW:O, the game you are currently playing, is. This is what we, the bunch of TT-old agers-morons know... And this is what we want.
