The armor you have on is as good as the Pilot who is using that Mech. at the time...

Even for Clan Elemental Battle Armour, taking down a mech is an uncommon occurrence.
Most mech's can outrun even the fastest battle armour and those that can't have enough firepower and armour to savage a point of elementals.
Personally a battle mode where it I can't catch the people I'm fighting and it takes five of us working as a team to even put up a good fight sounds like no fun at all.

No need for it, just give me a mech. as long as I can't crawl on a mech and real controll what armorplate Im ripping off.... and thats for an console game with quickaction events, not for a combat sim >.>

Battle Armor should be on the clans side as combat pets and npcs when the Clans are introduced. Would be too hard for a player to play as battle armor effectively and fairly. Inner Sphere should only get battle armor when the canon timeline allows twice the expense and as combat pets. Combat pet is where you summon a limited control AI that you tell to attack a target or objective. Same with Protomechs if they are included. Battle Armor should be harder to hit with mech weapons, and have the same capabilities as the canon BA.
