I keep wondering if the devs divide up these story lines, and actually play them out..

its a cool way to name drop lore units into the game. i think anyone that knows those two units and their related history would love to see them fighting it out.

Obviously we know more then the Inner Spheres actual dwellers, but I would have thought that the fact that Cranston Snord had been a member of Wolfs Dragoons was public information at least to those who would have the ability to hire even a smallish unit like the Irrgulars.
