why does that 4J have 8 medium lasers?

I don't think it does. We can't read all the weapon names.

Previous dev-build snapshots have shown mechs with ammo weapons reading infinite ammo

the stock 4J should have a small laser, 5 medium lasers, 2 LRM10s, which matches the number of weapons in the obfuscated list.

If you look closely, you can just make out the shape of Mech #16 through the missile trails. You have to run it through a few passes of CSI-grade filters though: compensate for flares, pick out the reflection on the window of the Atlas and brighten it, adjust for distortion, then composite picture from Google Images onto the blurry result.

I'll let you do that yourselves, though; don't wan't to ruin the surprise... :)

I would love to see a shot of death from above seeing a mech land on another. Is it even possible in this iteration of mech?
