Hey mates,

Im pretty new around here (MWO) and this game has catched my interest. Even though, id like to ask a few questions about the game before im going to buy instant access, i hope some of you guys could give me some advice... :)

1. The Founder's Mechs. By searching around the forum, i read that they only have different skins and dont take up space in your garage. anything else?
and is there a way to see how they look in comparison to the originals?

2. The premium account starts running as soon as the game is released. am i right?

3. is there a known release date for the game or the open beta? Or is there a known end to the closed beta?

4. how far are mech customizations going? not in detail, i know there are many aspects u guys arent allowed to talk about. but just so far: i played MW2 when i was young *G* and i remember to be able to customize everything about the mech, from toe to head cannon. are there limits in MWO or it it the same here?

5. i understand that fighting battles earns experience points. whats the max level and how fast is it reached? and does the exp depend on how many other mechs you kill/damage or is it more about win/loose ?

6. is the whole game multiplayer or is there something like a singleplayer campaign?

7. are there npcs on the map? like tanks etc?

8. As soon as i choose a house, will i be stuck to clans/games with people from the same house on my team?

9. How does the battle field commander work? is it chosen random or voted? what exactly is his job?

thats it so far what i would really love to know before purchasing a founder's package.
i might mention that, even though im new to this game, im an experienced and dedicated gamer with a lots of experience in games, from e-sport related (sc1,wc3,sc2, cs, LoL,...) to challenging non-esport-games (total war series, L4d1,L4d2, various rpgs,...).

i appreciate the help and advice of any1 who took his time reading this.

post scriptum: if im going to get started here, ill be looking for a clan :)

cheers, mates.

1) Founders mechs get extra C-bills and XP per match. Unknown whether there are screenshots.

2) It starts in Closed Beta and gets reset periodically. Last reset is when Open Beta starts (release) then anything you spend is gone permanently.

3) No. Speculation is all over the board at this point.

4) Hardpoints are limited on each mech (I'm sure this is public) the list of actual hardpoints per variant is under the NDA.

5) Still being changed at this point, and NDA.

6) NDA.

7) NDA.

8) Unknown at this time, but I think it's unlikely that there won't be some sort of change-faction mechanism. It's unknown what grouping restrictions will be in the release (Open Beta).

I urge you to consider at least a $30 founder package to check it out yourself. I don't regret my investment in the game.

Likewise

The devs gave made a number of dev diaries that you can check out from the home page as well as previews.
If you want, pick up the $30 founders pack and then upgrade it later on if you like what you see.

One question, can you buy Atlas and other founders mechs with in-game currency?

1.there are several videos featuring founder mechs in action (except the Catapult), plus screenshots, PLUS concept art. Go to the Media section http://mwomercs.com/media
Founder mechs come in an extra garage slot(you do not lose one of/four of your slots)

2. when open beta starts

3. No date yet

4. MWO features 'hardpoints' by strict laser/ballistic/missile type. you can swap an LRM for an SRM, but you can't swap a Gauss for a PPC. Read the Dev Blogs. There is an intro to mechlab video, too http://mwomercs.com/...deo/dPoqjslGcO0

Everyhnig else is pretty much addressed in the FAQ, or we can't say because there is an NDA. read the dev blogs, FAQ, Ask the Devs, and watch the video in the media section, it explains everything we're allowed to explain.

you can buy an Atlas and the other mechs, but not a 'founder' Atlas. The Founders are the same mech variant as the 'prime' variant for each chassis, except they have a special skin and a c-bill bonus.
