I figured that I should start with something simple. Only used three colors based on the U.S. Flag Color. At first, it looked very much like Ronald McDonald, so then I changed the head from Glory Red to Glory Blue. I know there's much work to do, but I'm happy with what I did in what little I can do.

EDIT: The more I look at it, the more I notice that the color scheme of the Japanese Ultraman TV series are very similar to this.

I love this thread so much.

Also, let me just say that the fan redesign of the Urbie here is amazing, and fits the look of the other designs PERFECTLY. I would drop so much cash for this to happen.

I guess I could chip in to the Urbie Love

although it went with a customized loadout

Designed it to be a low profile mech(influenced heavily by the Black Eagle tank)

The ERA bricks give a Draconis feel to it

As this is an Urbie thread I decided to post a picture of a work-in-progress 3D model of mine. I picked up the concept from some other thread on this site (sorry, lost link, will re-check), it's a more radical re-design of the Urbanmech.

I kind of liked it because it had plenty of convex shapes, I even made the inner shell of the upper body almost completely spherical. I just like spherical shapes, they are pretty optimal for deflecting rounds in an urban environment where the shots come from all directions.

P.S: I really like the Urbie concept this thread focuses on, reminds me more of the original one

The artist who did that concept is Shorpainter. He has posted most of his art in his 'Charger Fan Concept' thread.

Without going through the thread in full - has anyone done an urbanmech/r2d2 blend?

No, I'm not offering - 0% artistic talent.

I heard Duncan Fisher (George Ledoux) gave his personal endorsement to the urbanmech many a month ago, I decided it needs an advertising campaign.

Pushing the envelope a bit further... trying to avoid those curves in the armor for this Capellan variant. Hope you enjoy.
