Found this site (below) that helped me understand the MW Timeline, however I don't know what time it is in MWO and I don't know what the progression rate is. If some one could help me out with this it would be nice.

It's August 31st 3049. Check out the home page of this site.

Is anyone going to address the elephant in the room?
Clans officially hit the peripherary in August 3049...
***It's important to understand that I'm not nagging on the devs. I appreciate what they're doing far too much. But I think this should be addressed, and perhaps have the timeline corrected to maintain the underline story aspects they are aiming to hold on to.

The game isn't "out" yet therefore when it does come out, the timeline will be adjusted. The clans don't actually show up inside the IS until 3050 - 3049 was just the Rock and other periphery worlds.

What leads you to believe that the timeline will be adjusted in any way, shape or form?

Firstly: What Demona said.
Secondly: I said "Clans officially hit the periphery in August 3049..."
Thirdly: I consider the periphery action between August and September of 3049 part of the invasion of the Inner Sphere.
Fourth: Even if the periphery action was not part of the invasion and they are not reporting it under ISN News Flashes because of that, it is still unlikely that the time frame will be maintained for the March - April span of Wave 1.
But to drive home that point I made before: I'm not ******** at the devs. I am simply curious how they plan to address this.
It is like saying to your spouse "You said you were in charge of dinner, but you are going to be late getting home, so how would you like to handle this?"
