Its infuriating, Im trying to join a mech corp but since i cant search "uk" or "gmt" and the treads in the recruitment forums aren't categorised in any way it looks like i get the fun task of opening every thread and immediately closing 90% of the because they arent relevant to my time zone.

I agree.
There are any acronyms in the Mechiverse, and not being able to search by them uses a lot of time.

I wonder if a CM could comment on why the 4 char min is necessary?

I assume that it's to keep your search responses to a minimum, seeing as anything with that combination of letters would be brought up by the search engine.
