Nova Cat with 12 targeting lasers
Urbanmech with a thumper artillery cannon
There's not much I didn't try in that game.
TT
Light mech (custom ofc) w/the biggest xxl engine, xl gyro, small cockpit, a little bit of armor and 2 medium lasers or 2 m-pods, depending on variant.
Quite fast, low on BV and when it ever stops, it's dead.
If I can find the .ssw file again, I'll post the full specs.

In missions where you only had to complete checkpoints or destroy buildings I would max out jumpjets (you could use for horizontal speed boost) and max engine and equip it with just 1 small laser.
You zip around the map and nothing else has a chance of killing you until you stop to destroy the mission objectives. Hunker down behind what you want to destroy and the other mechs would often do the job for you.

4 ER PPCs at arms
4 ER Large Lasers (2 at arms and 2 at side torsos)
4 ER Medium Lasers at side torsos
All weapon - Clantech
+ Beagle Probe
It could only work when it was really cold outside, but that gorgeous feeling when one-shoting a switched off Timber Wolf from the max range...

I think I ended up removing some targeting lasers and upping the heat sink count because it overheated too fast. With the adjusted loadout, you could watch the armor on vehicles, lights and mediums go down gradually, but heavies and assaults would take you down before you got through half their armor.

Dire Wolf
2x Arrow IV launchers
Fill the rest up with ammo.
You only need 1 or 2 shots to kill any opponent.

mw4 mektek
IS urban with RAC10 an enough ammo for long dakkas with heavy small lasers in the remaining slots
Crab with dual double capacitor PPCs an heavy medium lasers in the remaining slots
Shadowhawk stock varient ugraded to clan tech (this was a mean lil ****** that keep me alive when everyone else in thier 100ton mechs failed)
Artic wofl with full reflective armor 2 ultra ac2 an srm2 not much punch but it didn't matter when over half of the mw4 mercs comunity had setups that set them into intense overheat from so many lasers an generally shedded armor to fit all those lasers >

in mechwarrior 2 code enabled
Tarantula ppc varient

Gladiator w. 15 ER Medium Lasers and 1 LBX-AC 20,
It could 1 shot almost anything, but instantly shut down due to heat issues

This is why MWO has a hardpoint system

Also a 190 kph 16 mgun Strider on Train Station. Poor overheated Avys.
Normal C1 mech was 14 Clan ER meds in 2 groups @ 149 kph in a Strider. Most points of damage possible per shot (7 meds) in the game.
Well, most damage without actually killing yourself.

Most likely. Can still have some armor at the expense of speed, though the trade off of less armor is getting in closer faster to use them. I'm a big fan of the Annihilator with 4 LBX 20s and two heavy med lasers. I think the MWLL Analog with two LBX 20 and two LBX 10s fits well: the Beatstick
