Annihilator
6 AC10
something like 2 tons of armour
minimal speed
but guys in FPP if i shot first (chaining) - target never be able to return fire, used on DM

IS Urbanmech
no armour
jumjets
long tom

Table top game..

100 ton mech , 2 x ac 20 , hatchet and jump jets...(3/5/3 movement)

Was fantastic in city maps... ac 20 , ac 20 .. punch , hatchet ... straight up 70 points point blank damage . And if the hatchet hit , a 1 in 6 chance of taking the head off..

Called it the Kurgan - it took ALOT of heads

14 SPL Kodiak in GBL for the end mission. Just a stream of red squirting all over the screen out to 200m.

Not a mech, but I'll post it anyway, because it was handled in the mech-lab like a mech.

Clan Elemental in Mechwarrior2: Mercenaries
400 Engine
307 Armor plates
47 Clan ER-Large Laser

Equipment for a few hundred tons, but still only one ton of weight.
Super fast, super small and can kill anything with a single hit.

MW2
Flea - 1 med lazer in the chest

maxed engine with jumpjets

i'd often attempt to "jump kick" my enemy mechs by lineing them up and boosting and land on them
and cause most head armor is less then the flea's leg armor
i'd end thinking too my self "death from above" when i connect and take off their head..

altho i'd often end up flying right over them >.< or i'd boost little and be face to face with a enemy...

MW4 Mercs Mektek 3.1

Chimera: Slowest engine, no heat sinks, jump jets, minimal armor, CGauss, CapPPC, 1 ton extra ammo
As long as there were heavies and assults on my team that could take the brunt of any incoming damage I would sit back at 800m, radar off, coring mechs until I would run out of ammo. While not particularly rediculous, everyone would always underestimate the chimera.

In MW2, any mech with only 2 mplas and lots of heatsinks. Cuts through enemy lines like a hot knife on urbanmechs

In MW3, a Supernova with 6 (o 8?) ERPPC. If my foe doesn't die from a single shot and get close, I'm sure it will from my overheat-nuke-explotion

In MW4 (NH-UA), a Nova Cat w/ 7 cERLPLAS... so much fun trolling around in multiplayer!

I love this topic ;)

I confess to the slightly unoriginal 'All Machine Gun Atlas' all the way back in Mechwarrior 2 or some such. It gave my brother the shock of his Piloting life in a LAN game. I took a fair amount of damage getting in range, but then his whole mech got lit up like a fireworks display and died in a few seconds :(

Of course... next game he just stayed back with his newly designed LRM boat and wasted me.

Mercs with MekTek Supernova with 2 Standard, ER, Pulse, ER Pulse, X-Pulse and Heavy Small Lasers. Named it "Pretty Lights". Or the Supernova with like 8 Large Continuous Beam Lasers. That thing ripped through my enemies like crazy. Also in TT, I made a 10 ton 'mech that had a Supercharger and MASC, no armor or weapons and ran like 56 or something.

No heat sinks. No cooler pods.
Nothing but continuous infinite lasers.Yup.

I once made, for table-top, a 75-ton mech with 2 swords, a 375 XL, 5 jump jets and some ER Mediums, using pretty much all clan tech (weapons, engine, FF and Endosteel) except for the swords and TSM. Called it jokingly a Leonardo. Just felt like putting something random together at the time.

MechCommander Gold - I took a Turkina and loaded it up with nothing but Large-X Pulse Lasers. Would rip anything to shreds before they could even fire back. TT - Atlas with four gauss rifles. MW2 - Mad Cat with three ER PPCs. MW 3 - Daishi with six ER PPCs. Never tried anything crazy in MW4.

Mechwarrior 3 for UA games, 14 LB-2X Annihilator while everybody else was running 3 UAC-20 Summoners. I laughed as I shred them before they could get in range to use their own guns.

A hand full of LRM 5s and several AC-2s

MW2 Mercs Online play, Alots of MPL and heat sinks ... yep it tore up a a lot of opponents. But I used the handle Scorch and always equipped my mech with a alot of flamers. In the middle of a "heated" battle, circle of death, I would use the flamers to over heat and then cause them to blow up from over heating.

Tried that in MWO with a hunchback and 9 flamers. Unfortunately, flamers don't seem to increase the heat of the target mech, yet. :wub:

I did something very similar once.

I never played it, but in response to a 'coffin mech' idea contest one member of our old Battletech board game group proposed, I made a mech based on the Crusader chasis. For some reason, as cool as they are, Crusaders seemed to suffer from freak bad luck in our games: center torso critical hit followed by unused MG ammo explosion that would then reach the rest of the mech, including the missile ammo, and well you get the picture...

I loaded the mech up with 24 machine guns, and called it a 'Grïnder' with a pointless umlaut just to amuse and to look metal. :)

I mean can you imagine that in the board game? The eventual looks on the faces of the other players as you stop and roll for each of those 24 machine guns...!

actually had similar build but was a Banshe i striped the weapons of and replaced them with 20 MG with 4 tons of ammo and surprisingly i used it and survived its only TT run as then i quit the TT group as we graduated and i moved on to the navy and the real world lol wasnt till MW made apperances in videogames did i ever try to reconfigure the mecs but the restrictions of what the hardpoints allows gets in the way of recreating my TT icons
