House Liao is mostly Chinese, a mix of classical china with Maoist-era communist china, along with equally communist Russians (this was made before the Great Politics Mess-Up after all). there are significant minorities of Indians and Sri Lankans. Liao leadership varies between incredibly capable and full on, put-em-in-a-straitjacket <i>INSANE</i> the bad news was the leadership inn the 3010s-3050s was insane: Maximillian and Romano Liao were crazy.

Davion is probably the most stable of the realms, with mostly an anglo-french background. Its most significant minority is ethnic Capellans, whom they have conquered over the last 200 years.

The "A Time of War" RPG actually has a very neat map with short descriptions for all factions, small and large. Lemme just type this off the paper:

Stable? Aren't there canon sources that say one reson the Fedsuns wage wars so often is to keep the march Lords militaries constantly recovering and smaller than that of the the Davions?
